Here they are: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254341130393
They showed up today and lo and behold a magnet sticks to them as I suspected they would. I will get some pics later but if I didn't know any better these are the exact item as OEM with the exact same hardware.
Bovee or not, iOS 13 is a mess on BT. I can’t open my garage door with the LR anymore without cutting BT off in the vehicle. Don’t know the source of that one yet.
Well, they're knockoffs so $108 shipped. I expect that a few hours on my back and I'll be able to swap them out for nothing. If they suck I didn't get pulled in too far that I'm losing much by risking it.
Yep - that's what mine look like. It must be time more than anything - I'm a '13 as well. I went the cheap route for now and bought the non-OEM equivalents that claim to be Aluminum. I wanted to go with sliders but in reality this ride hasn't been offroad more than a gravel road or farm trail...
There I was wondering why they looked a little wavy on top. Looked underneath and they are rotted out and almost gone. Guess I should look under it more often.
I had an android just prior to the iPhone I have now. I had issues with bluetooth on the Note 9 and the LR4. Generally speaking bluetooth, even though it's a standard, isn't consistent across platforms or devices.
Replace Jeep with Ford and this is me. The community support here and in other forums has been awesome. I'd have a hard time going elsewhere at this point. I have to say though living in the Chicagoland area that it's not super uncommon to see LR3/4 or RRS all over the place. It's still nice...
This goes back to the point of...if you have LR3/4 and like it then the Defender isn't likely for you. If you bought a D5 thinking it was the evolution of the LR4 you might be interested in the Defender.
I bought my '13 without a warranty at all. Find an independent mechanic that is reliable and get some roadside assistance package (from your insurer) and run that beast until it won't run anymore. Unless you really used the heck out of that warranty in the long term it'll cost less if you keep...
Granted I'm on a '13 but when I first put iOS 13 beta onto my device I needed to delete it from both sides and set up pairing freshly. Did you try forgetting it on both sides rather than just one?
I know this feeling. I have a 4 and started looking at the defender. Ended up saying I like my 4 and keeping it in action with the money that would have otherwise gone to upgrade tech.
If you like your 3 keep it. The 4 is quicker thanks to the 5.0 but even that has issues. Go read up in the...
Yeah I like this idea but this ended up in a very active thread. They’re not rated for the weight of our beasts. They’ll work but it’s sorta like playing with fire. I thought I read something about the oem wheels having a special internal bead that’s designed to let you air it down and keep the...
I wedge the OEM one behind the third row but that’s basically all cargo space gone. You might try making one out of carpet if you need a roll up version.
Interesting...Porsche got nailed for this same issue...

This is just a thought but could it be that we need to just start flushing the coolant every 40-60k miles? It’s possible the acidity level is climbing in the cool and over time and eating the plastic crossover slowly.
Yes we do. I’m pretty sure I’ve decided to just stay on the LR4 secondary market for quite awhile. After thinking about it I just don’t see capability upgrades in the Defender but more technology updates/upgrades. I like it overall but every time I get into the LR4 it just feels great and I...
