    Overheating after coolant crossover replacement

Yeah. That's exactly what I meant.

    Overheating after coolant crossover replacement

The math is a mess. Let's say it was barebones...300 committed buyers and it would be $1000 part vs a $70 piece of plastic. I guess I could go Kickstarter but somehow I just don't see this being feasible.

Now I know where the Land Rover / Range Rover confusion comes from

I'm hanging out in the wrong circles.

    Overheating after coolant crossover replacement

I could probably facilitate the process to start fabricating a replacement that would be metal but we'd need a whole lot of committed buyers before it would be an acceptable cost. $300-500K just to get the part molds done.

    Humming Noise

I had the guts of a catalytic converter collapse on my XC90 cause something that sounds just like this - when they cut it open they found the filter had broken free and was causing the noise. It was the exact same thing you describe - noise on turns (I thought a CV was falling apart), noise off...

EBC yellowstuff and EBC GD rotors

So why yellow over green? Why not orange over yellow? I did some research on the EBC lines and I don't know if I should just soak into the full stack of HD "truck" versions of orange or just save a few $$ on yellow.

EBC yellowstuff and EBC GD rotors

I want to do this when the OEM brakes give out on mine (I am so sick of the noisy squeaks) but that bed in process seems like a long process. Did you follow that? I've never had brakes that stated that much.

    Advice on peeling dash

Yeah buyers beware of flooded cars. A Chicagoland dealer told me that the best part of being a LR dealer is that when the dealership flooded all of the LR inventory was fine whereas other folks weren't so lucky. Remember that the LR4 (dunno about the 3) is only submersible up to 27".

    Advice on peeling dash

Aren't all of the OEM glass pieces LR Logo + Pilkington? If not, somebody has replaced every piece of glass on my LR at one point or another.

Now I know where the Land Rover / Range Rover confusion comes from

I always just dumb it down to "Think of it like Ford to Lincoln or GM to Cadillac." Land Rover is the all around name, RR is just the expensive brand name.

Thoughts on 2016 LR4 HSE Lux (Landmark) purchase?

It's tough to say if another shop would notice more. I think if you tell the dealership that it has accident history on the front they would focus to make sure everything is within specifications and further validate any non-warrantable repairs more so than a local shop. The last thing you want...

Thoughts on 2016 LR4 HSE Lux (Landmark) purchase?

If it's still in warranty have all maintenance done by the dealership IMO. They will log the work properly and keep it on spec with the warranty guidelines. I'm not a fan of an accident involved vehicle as that will ride the entire history of it and impact the value now and more so later if...

    Overheating after coolant crossover replacement

I think there's a bleeder valve on top of the reserve tank but I've never done it. From what i poked around and found it sounds like trapped air is a complete pain in these systems and hard to eradicate.

Did you bleed the system? That's probably the source .

    Where to find nice LR4s?

Yeah - the 2013s are even vaporizing from the Chicagoland area too. Trust me, I bought mine there, well, fell backwards into it when searching randomly. 2010-12 and now 14/15 are flooding the market but the 13s are few and far between. Wouldn't surprise me if they're being auctioned off for...

;) Turn the radio up! Driving in silence listening for squeaking will drive you nuts. Well, that and hanging out in the forums.

    Previous Loaner Vehicle

LOL - exactly. I'm not saying that it's surely been a beat down but why would you need a loaner at an exotic place? Probably because you broke your exotic car in the first place hooning it. Exotic car != exotic person. ;)

    Previous Loaner Vehicle

It just takes that one or two to mess it up. "drive it like you stole it" I was talking to a tow truck driver once upon a time and he told me about a $60k f150 that was a loaner that he had to pull out of a field. It only takes that one.

    Previous Loaner Vehicle

Replace loaner with "rental". Now would you still consider it? If you can get the entire service history it's likely a good read. I just can't get comfortable with a car that's had likely hundreds of drivers versus a select few. It scares me off.

    LR4 Seats and Interior rattles

I bought a used 13 with 25k miles on it. It's so quiet I feel bad posting about it. I hope it doesn't go nuts as it gains miles. I too love my quiet rides.

2013 LR4 Home Setting in Navigation

I think it's pretty deep in the navigation preferences. Personally I never program home because if somebody steals your ride they now have where you live and access to your garage/gate/home.

    Radio Swap

My guess is if anybody had they'd either be super quiet about it or bragging. You'd see a rush to swap if it works.
