I would put money on it being 2 row with some odd ball "ex" version having a 3rd squished row. The default for 7 seats is going to stay D5 would be my guess .
I guess I'll have to find a spot to do some "emergency" braking to see if it's glazing. Oh man...if I'm going to tear it down to clean them I almost just want to replace them.
I'm sure this has been covered in depth on some other thread but I can't find it. I'm at 34k miles on a MY13. The brakes have been "squealing" since the day I bought it with just over 25k miles on it. They do it at lower speeds at initial press of the pedal but if I push down harder it goes...
Believe it or not there are gem LR3s hiding out there with less than 60k miles on them. You're nearly in LR4 pricing at that point though. I heard the 4.4 v8 was a slow pig with overheating issues though...was I misled?
Nice looking ride. I'd probably look at those YOKOs before the Cooper's though. I had bad luck in the past with Cooper SUV spec tires with knots/hard spots and they made a hella noise. May have just been a bad batch but I had at least two swapped out in the first 60 day as defects.
Well, if you think about it they give you updates for free. When is the last time you had to pay for an iOS update? As long as you aren't changing "versions" of MSFT it's free to get updates as well. I understand they'd want payment for a whole new "device" but updating the existing should be...
This stuff drives me nuts about factory systems. There's no reason that it should cost that much to update it...you'd think they'd want to give it away for the sake of owner loyalty.
I'd still monitor the levels for this one if I were you . Just because it took 8 this time doesn't mean you didn't put in 8 last time and end up with 6.
I was just thinking about that the other day. I went to Ford in 2012 to buy a flex. Left with a f-150. Loved the look of the flex but couldn't pass up the truck. I saw a Flex this week and thought: it's just the design of a LR3/4 that rides lower. (and without the capabilities of a LR) It...
I just can't do it. I get that it has most of the capabilities of the LR4 but it looks like a XC90 and a Ford Explorer had a baby. I see them from all the wrong angles to appreciate that look.
Yeah - I have to say, if you're out of warranty and not going to DIY the job then find a trusted mechanic that *isn't* the dealership unless you really fall in love with your dealership. My local mechanic may not be focused specifically on LR but he's done great work with anything I've thrown...
Call the dealer and explain that you just hit 50k miles. They might flex a little ... it's not like you're trying to rip them off but to break the day after the warranty is crazy.
Oh and Ford (and I think most others) use vacuum engaged hubs on the front end to let the wheels run without spinning anything other than themselves. Those hubs are the reason I'm driving a LR instead of a truck.
Modern day trucks don't run full time 4wd like the LRs do. They also use far more complex turbo engines (ford) or cylinder turn offs (chevy) and up to 10 speed transmissions.
