I came here to read this since you accidentally posted it in the LR4 section. It was worth it. You have a possessed pig with extra Gremlins. Best of luck getting it to pizza delivery timing!
Good.
Shorter = city+off road approachable at a lower cost
Medium= city+off road for those that want a comfy 4/5 seater
Long=for those that really need the cargo/7 seats
Probably ripped up during road testing and they didn't have a chance to fix it before spy shot. You ever tow a boat with a loose cover on it? They shred at about 55mph
There appears to be more than one option out there for a proper diagnostic tool. There's the Hawkeye Diagnostic Tool by Bearhawk and then there's the IIDTool. Maybe there's a 3rd or 4th that I haven't seen.
Does anyone have experience with both and recommend one over the other?
Are you talking about this one?

I'd love to know the difference between this and the IIDTool
I don't think that's how it works anymore. There's a speed sensor in the transmission that does all the work on calculating miles. (At least I'm pretty sure most vehicles have that)
I rode behind the new D5 for a bit yesterday. It just has too much RR look and not enough LR look. I think it's because the rear bumper basically doesn't exist. The LR4 has a much better bumper that is an actual step whereas the D5 isn't pronounced and just doesn't look like you could step up...
It's likely under market but like everything in life if it seems too good to be true it usually is. I'd bet there some accident history there for it to be nearly $5k under average market price.
I'm at 34k on MY13 and I'm trying to track down something that sounds awfully like what you're hearing. I thought it was coming from the instrument cluster but now I'm suspicious of something inside of the mirror mount housing that's reflecting the sound off that area. It's really hard to hear...
They did my 75k mile service at 25k miles because of the age of the vehicle and reselling it. Now I suppose I need to repeat the 75k service at 100k...blah .
I threw a timing chain on a Dodge Intrepid once. Smashed all the valves, mucked up the cams. Was it ruined? No. Was it a ton of money to rebuid? Yes. If you think you can fix it before it happens you will save yourself a ton of money and headaches getting it done proactively.
