    How crazy would it be...

To vinyl wrap a new color on my LR? I have the super low mileage durable last of the V8s and it's black. I love the black but every time I see a white one I want that instead. I've never seen a vehicle that looks so good in white. There's a 16 on the local lot with 24k miles running at $46k...

    OEM Side Steps - Rust

Yeah...stupid road salt...hate the stuff. It's been a rough winter on the roads up this area and salt has been generously applied constantly. I had the same thing with the steps on my F150 where they started rusting. I guess I'll just let them go and get some step/slider combo when these get...

    Tuffant Steelies...alternative to Compos

Thanks for the thread reference. I didn't see it in the LR4 forum (bad search) but also didn't want to lure our LR4 folks into the D5 channel. :)

    Tuffant Steelies...alternative to Compos

Somebody posted about this in the D5 group but folks considering Compos in the USA might want to check out the Tuffant options...they're beginning shipping in March. 18" fitment on LR3/4/D5. https://www.tuffantusa.com/

    OEM Side Steps - Rust

Haha! Guess I should phrase the question differently. Is it worth the time to pull them off and try to remediate this or should I simply start planning on the death of these boards and investigate some Rhino Steps/Sliders or something? The steps are a requirement as the family likes them too...

    OEM Side Steps - Rust

First true winter of having the '13 LR4. It came with the OEM steps (which I like regardless of what others think or feel) and I'm noticing a lot of rust lines appearing on the garage floor. I'm also seeing hints of rust near the plastic step edges. Is this normal or a cause for concern?

    Another Defender hint?

I don't know but not the picture. I don't need/want a dash that says "DEFENDER" on it. The pedals don't need "STOP" and "GO" nor do they need to be polished aluminum. I'm far more skeptical than ever given that non of the buttons have indicators on them and it just looks far too much "concept"...

    Another Defender hint?

That has to be a mocked up press photo. If this is where they're going with things HMB while I run for a Jeep Wrangler instead.

    1 Year with my LR4

Feb 2nd was my 1 year anniversary of my '13. Bought it with ~25k and put on 11k in year one and it's my primary driver. Have my own mityvac and done one oil change...2nd due soon. Brakes are a little squeaky so that might be something to do soon but no first year issues. Hate the conti's in the...

    Opinions please (Non-Technical)

I would think as long as all 4 wheels are on the ground this would be a perfectly fine way to park for the day. I wouldn't leave it that was for a week but a workday? yes.

    Opinions please (Non-Technical)

If it was a brodozer it would be a dick move. As a LR it's a "eh, that guy is just showing off" move.

How (and why) to disable passive entry

    Finally...a reason to get a D5! :)

How (and why) to disable passive entry

I would imagine in some higher density areas this would be an issue. If there are creeps/dudes/baddies doing circles around my house they're more than likely about to find themselves in a bad situation that they don't want to be in...and I'll have some lovely hacking equipment in my possession. :)

    Heated windshields

I drove 100 miles last weekend to help a friend move. It was -21F on my ride up. I drove that without a coat thanks to the heated seats, steering wheel, windshield, etc. I don't think I'll ever own another vehicle without at least those features in this region. Granted I did find out that...

    Custom Bull Bar in USA

Ha - I never push anybody either. This silly person thought it was a good idea...if I had a beater I probably would have taken him up on it. It was a 3 series and he was totally stuck on 2 inches of slushy snow. I used to keep all the stuff in my F150 to haul fools out of ditches and...

    SCV6 engine noise help

    Custom Bull Bar in USA

ARB supports the parking sensors correct? If so this is going on my wish list. I literally just had a guy the other day ask me to push his BMW with my LR because he was stuck. I said no way without a real front end. I pushed him out by hand.

    LR4 Starter Motor Hose Attachment

According to the starter schematics there's a breather tube that's supposed to go to the topside of the engine. Is yours disconnected perhaps or missing?
