Don't go without HD like the others said. You can live without it in 2013 and earlier because those at least had standard low range. Does it have to have a warranty? I picked up a 2013 with 25k miles last year for $10k less than that and it's a gem...no HD but still...see if you can find a 2013...
Big update today on capabilities.

Auto inflation / deflation of tires. New instrument panel built in house (eww)
Possible camper roof?
I think we argued about this in another thread. Leave it in normal height and put a battery tender on it. The system will keep itself autoleveled as needed as far as I recall. If you leave it sit high or low it leaves the tires at angles that they're not intended to be for longer term and...
Yeah, the 3.5l (original) Ecoboost is a beast and takes a beating. In typical capitalistic fashion they rushed beyond the 3.5 and introduced the 2.7l and the 2.3l and the 1.9l without as much testing. If you ask me they're asking too much to shove a 2.7l into a F-150 but let's look at the...
The same thoughts about the "Ecoboost" that Ford dropped into the F150s. Lots of doubt turned into lots of believers.
Is it just me or are the roofline pics starting to look like they're hiding a sloped/step on the front end that would be a throwback to the old Defenders/LRs? I personally...
It's the notorious sign that the tensioners for the timing chain are giving out and the chain is slapping around working its way to failure. Common problem on '10-'12 and thought to be remedied on the '13.
To anybody thinking about doing this...read that forum. Holy cow...99 pages of comments since December. Lots of noted issues and problems. Here's the thing...if you're going to do this remember that whatever you install is likely running on an Android platform. Mind you it's not a "Samsung...
I know that feeling but this system is so integrated I just don't see it being an option. Any major post factory mod these days is just asking for chaos.
I wouldn't burn the cash on that personally. The pics are all weirdly photoshopped/different items etc. How about I set up a go fund me and you guys chip in for a beater Lr4 and I'll do the upgrades/testing/videos;)
Yeah, that departure angle + externally mounted full spare are good hints. Odds are it's going to be partial hybrid and hopefully a torque beast...time will tell
You guys are like a jinx. I suddenly have a parking sensor alert for no reason this morning. Must have knocked one while installing the trailer wiring kit.
You have the rare ability to capture it from that one specific angle that makes the vehicle stand out. I still can't take it seriously from the full side shot...and the loss of command seating. ;)
I can't either. The HK system sounds great to me in general. My wife's '07 XC90 seems to have a little bit deeper bass definition but the clarity of the audio on the HK in the LR sounds much better. I would never call it "tinny" at all. Maybe worth having an audiophile check it out and diagnose?
