    I'd use the 20s for winter tires (if needed) and just go 18" Compos. 20s just don't have enough sidewall for me to feel comfortable wheeling offroad without risking damaging an expensive rim.

    Driving on a hard surface, I might agree HDC is overkill. However... Another thing to consider is HDC is pretty damn good on desert dune faces. I have used it and it is pretty sensitive in detecting one side slipping more than the other, etc. I like having the feature, personally.

    Try and find a friend with the facelift and see if you can try and swap it out for fitment. It literally has no screws and snaps in place on both models. Takes 5 minutes max.

    My truck (2013) had no signs of battery issues whatsoever. However, when the truck went in for its 24 month service they told me it had failed some test and simply swapped it out free of charge under warranty.

    Dubious about the explanation, but he hit the nail on the head for functionality. You are losing ground clearance and the aluminum step itself will bend like a tin can if you actually catch it on a rock. (Plus they look terrible)
