I am certain that LR San Antonio made that Defender page to simply draw clicks to their website on Defender searches. There is virtually zero official info out there yet from Land Rover on the new Defender, aside from a very rough timeline.
There's not a hell of a lot of change with the plus sized tires that fit without major modifications. We are talking just a few mph difference.
You can use this calculator to see the difference:

Stock tires are 255/55/19 and the most common...
I never checked this. It would be amazing if true on my 2013. I hate that my phone charger turns off with the main socket once the relay times out. My BMWs sockets all stayed live with the car off.
The easiest way to check an LR for for the HD pack (locking rear diff) is to pull up the 4x4 info screen. If you have the standard truck, you only have a locker icon in the center diff. If you have the optioned HD pack with rear locker, there will be two locker icons; one center and one rear...
From Edmunds:
"For 2015, GL450 models get a new turbocharged V6 engine that's just as powerful as the V8 it's replacing but much more fuel-efficient."
This is polar opposite of Land Rover. The new SCV6 is nearly a full 10% less powerful than the outgoing V8 and has next to no fuel savings...
The only thing I will say is to be mindful of some of these high tech tints. I went with a high end brand ( http://v-kool-usa.com/auto/ ). My tint has some nano blah blah, which to be fair noticeably works, but has the massive downside of blocking GPS signals to my phone.
I think the LR4 nav is...
Eh, you do have measurably less HP / TQ for basically negligible fuel savings (2mpg difference combined cycle) and you pay more MSRP over the 2013 and earlier trucks. It would be a matter of principle to me.
340hp / 332 tq in the newer SCV6 (16mpg combined)
375hp / 375 tq in the old 5.0L V8...

It will allow you to set your own custom heights and store it. It will back up your original settings as well for easy swapping back and forth if desired.
It has a lot more function and has been discussed in depth on this forum. Just have a...
I really don't care what any dealer tells me. If you don't have stock of what I want and are not willing to work with me, I am taking my business elsewhere.
You can change the digital speedo between kms and miles with the flick of a few buttons in the settings. It changes odometer as well. I honestly never even look at my analog speedometer, just the digital. Don't think you would miss it.
Literally the same exact D shackle I use. I recover (other vehicles) probably more than anyone else in this LR4 forum. Living in the middle east, its sand recovery every other outing.
I always carry 2x:

The "build your own" is up on LR USA. Answered both of our questions. There is no 19" Black Pack, but the grille and side vents are black on the Landmark. Wheels do not come in black though, which kind of sucks.
There is the option to add HD pack for $1350...
C'mon lets grow up a bit. Even I can agree the DS looks awfully Explorer like from the outside. I was given a ride home in one from the service center a couple weeks back and objectively speaking, there were two arguments to be made.
As a LR4 owner, I was shocked how much plastics were used...
Umberto is right on this. The front and rear are factory built recovery points, and quite beefy at that.
Can't find a good web pic of the front point and I am too lazy to take a pic of my own. Bottom line, they are just fine.
I am not sure what Land Rover's policy is, but on my BMWs I would often buy the extended just before the factory had expired. The thing I always worried about was if you pay for the extended up front when new, you have years of time where it could turn out to be money flushed in the toilet for...
Like you said, brakes and tires. That's all you will typically deal with in an LR4. My 2013 has been extremely reliable. Two years into ownership and the two front lower control arm bushings are currently being replaced (under warranty). Other than that, its been flawless.
