    Showoff Your LR4

Nice looking wheels! What size and brand are they?

Real world MPG on the LR4

I have an international model. If you toggle between imperial and metric (selectable option), it will read out as Liters per 100km for economy in kms mode. Otherwise it will read MPG for miles mode.

    AMK EAS noisy vibrations

I have a factory AMK and there is no vibration whatsoever. I only know if it is on if I am outside of the truck and can hear it.

Here's another pic where you can see my Voyager side step / sliders.

    Magnaflow for LR4

This is the only video I could find with my exhaust attached. The vid itself is pretty uneventful (it is FAR steeper than it looks on vid!!). Just crank up your volume and you can hear the exhaust. Sounds fantastic here, but the drone at cruise speed... ugh! https://youtu.be/nnEI3mSEBbA

    Magnaflow for LR4

I had it, loved it for a short while but eventually removed it and scrapped it. It definitely makes the truck sound like a real V8. Hard acceleration sounded fantastic and when you kept the transmission in sport mode, the transmission blips the throttle on downshifts, which would make the...

Real world MPG on the LR4

I am sure you can "hyper-mile" your way up into upper 20s for a road trip. I took a pic of ~70mpg in a diesel 3 series BMW once. I was basically limiting my speed at 50-60mph for the lowest rpm in high gear while drafting behind semi trucks for less wind resistance. (I was bored and an hour...

    Side step

I have the exact same slider / steps as Dan. One thing I will warn about the Voyager sliders is that the paint or powder coat isn't the best. Mine are less than 2 years old and have significant rust in certain areas, particularly flat part exposed to the back of the front wheels has no paint...

    Pollen/Cabin Filter maintenance

I've got the same thing and it absolutely drives me bonkers! I haven't pinpointed the source, which makes it worse.

    LR5 Release Updates?

Seen a couple SVRs in on the road here in Qatar. They sound incredible! I'd kill for that kind of exhaust note in my LR4.

    Got rear ended..

Need to write a strongly worded letter to Land Rover. Those rear bumper reflectors do not seem to be made of the same wonder material as the rest of the truck. They always seem to take the most damage! ;)

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Yea, getting buried in sand is no fun! Airing down is absolutely essential in soft sand though. Sand driving is all about "float' and riding on top of the sand. Airing down will increase your footprint dramatically. Fully inflated, the contact patch is quite small and has a far greater tendency...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Are you researching the newer KO2 BFGs? There were certainly mixed reviews on the older KO tires, as their design was decades old (15+ years?). I have read nothing but glowing reviews about the new KO2 design. If I were anywhere else, they would be my first choice! To answer your earlier...

    Coding - Switch Off Alerts

Na, annoying as fck when you are trying to position the truck in certain circumstances getting in / out of the vehicle. I always wear it for journeys from point A to B.

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

The wheel well liners are never a concern. The only rubbing you will get is the tire on the frame horns at full lock (particularly while reversing for some reason). As the tires wear, this becomes less pronounced. But no rubbing on the plastic to worry about.

    Aftermarket window tint questions

Aside from the crappy paint from the vendor, I really like my Voyager sliders / steps. They attach so low to the ground, I couldn't notice and perceptible handling difference. If you were putting a heavy rack or high riding bumper like the ARB, I am sure you would notice a shift in the higher...

    Coding - Switch Off Alerts

To disable the seatbelt chime: 1. Turn on ignition switch, IE in my case, push the on button, but don't start the car. 2. Quickly fasten and unfasten the driver seat belt 10 times in succession. Enjoy the silence. Oh and wear your seat belt when appropriate. You will still get the seatbelt...

    Coding - Switch Off Alerts

I know I was able to disable my seatbelt alarm for my 2013. Let me try and look it up. It was some weird combo of fasten / unfasten seatbelt so many times while the ignition was on without engine running or something to that effect. They only way to disable the auto stop / start to my knowledge...

    LR5 Release Updates?

I am actually considering trading up my LR4 for the new Raptor. Completely different vehicles, but seeing as I live in the desert, the Raptor would be a hell of a lot more fun. I might be swayed down the road for whatever Defender they cook up, but LR need to make it pretty off-road focused and...

    New tire reccomendations 2013 LR4?

To be fair, most tire discussions on the board focus on either off-road tires or snow tires. Not many look for mostly street, as you are. This thread is specifically for 18" tires, but has a lot of good information in it regardless. http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=24788

    LR5 Release Updates?

Not sure if it makes any difference, but Ford produces about 5x as many F-150s alone as Land Rover produces across their ENTIRE vehicle line-up. Also, there are two different plants cranking out F-150s (Dearborn and KS). They easily could have split the cutover between the plants.

    Adaptive cruise control

What you are describing is called "Autonomous Emergency Braking" by Land Rover. I have only seen this system advertised on the newer Discovery Sport and Evoque model, not the LR4. https://live.landrover.co.uk/technology/guide/autonomous-emergency-braking-system
