Easy fix is to remove the switch and hard wire it together. or Replace the switch and make sure it is working correctly. Transmission low means it is low on fluid, or your battery is going bad.
Welcome to the forum, transmission issue can also be electrical as well. Hope you got it cheap. I just passed on an LR3 that needed a new roof glass, I could have bought it for less than $3,000.
My advise is to Call Nathan in my signature, he buys and sells used rovers this is his specialty. He will offer great advise and help you find the rover you are looking for.
Welcome to the forum. Unless I am mistaken in is under the drivers side near the door, it may be under the panel below the steering wheel. It has been a while.
Give Nathan a call in my Signature, he may be able to help you out. He has access to older keys and may or may not be able to help you figure out how to program them.
I haven't removed without draining, but you need to fix the airbag leaks before it burns up the pump and the sensor needs adjust before it cause even worse issues.
I don't have the 18 inch wheel option, but a tire calculator should be easy to show you.
Discovery Series II
*
255/65-16: Stock tire size.
*
255/70-16: Just a bit taller than stock.
*
265/75-16: Taller and wider than stock, possible to fit without lift. minor rubbing. Looks real balanced...
I would recommend mentioning it to the service tech doing the PPI. Better safe then sorry when it comes to timing chain issues. That is about a $7k fix.
