Hello from the Right Coast of Canada

Welcome to the forum. Watch out for rust around the Alpine windows as well. Roof is steel, the rest of the body is aluminum. Dif Lock is probably also frozen, so fix it while you have the interior out. The H/L shifter should also move Left and Right for Diff lock.

    Buying Tips for 2009-2012 HSE

Just found this and it may help. You can relearn the blend motors by holding Econ and Recirc at the same time, then turning on the key. If one is failed, this will do nothing, but if it has lost it's position, it might take care of the problem.

So one side is cold and not the other. Blend motor or control module. Hard to test without spares.

    Looking at a 2010 HSE 5.0 w/ 105kmiles

The 4.4 is almost a bulletproof engine the 4.2 supercharged is the same. Change the oil every 5k miles and drive it for 400k miles or till you are tired of it. Small issue will come up as it is a rover, but most are cheap or easy to do yourself. My thermostat went out a week after I bought...

    Looking at a 2010 HSE 5.0 w/ 105kmiles

Per the ad it is an HSE, which is not a supercharged version. I would still want to hear a cold start up to make sure the timing chain isn't making noise.

    Buying Tips for 2009-2012 HSE

The 4.4 is almost bullet proof. That is what I have that and the 4.2 supercharged are both very good. I have seen 400k miles and still going on the 4.4.

    Looking at a 2010 HSE 5.0 w/ 105kmiles

Looks nice, but remember the timing chain issue is more of an issue on the supercharged 5.0, but I wouldn't assume. It is 8k - 15k to fix.

    Buying Tips for 2009-2012 HSE

Tony, First Being a huge LR fan myself, I will say this. If you are starting out with a vehicle that is already having issues, if they can't change the battery and make it all work, walk away. Also keep in mind the 2011 has a 5.0 engine which is known for timing chain issues.

Listen on startup for rattling or timing chain noise.

    New to the Forum!

Welcome to the forum. If this is a Full Sized RR at $7k, that is a very good price. You may have some small item issues, but I would recommend starting with all fresh fluids and new belts.

2006 Range Rover Sport HSE, Suspention Fault.

My first go to on any rover issue is check the battery, if a strong battery, disconnect for about 10 minutes. Reconnect and try again.

New to forum 2014 RR Sport HSE 90,000 miles

Start by changing the air filter and cleaning the MAF sensor. If you don't know how, youtube is your friend.

New to forum 2014 RR Sport HSE 90,000 miles

I would start with battery, they are good for 5-6 years yours has lasted much longer if original and will cause all kinds of issues. At least have it tested. I would also give it a tune up. plugs, air filter, even injector cleaner. Could just be bad gas.
