Both sides light up brighter than the normal tail lights. I love that feature. In the winter, the Marine layer (low fog) near the pacific ocean is quite thick, so I drive around with mine on frequently. Never been rear-ended!
Well, as many of you know, the economy sucks. I am forced to sell my all time favorite vehicle:
2005 LR3, 5 seater, 4.0L V6, 68,000 miles, expedition ready. $19,000 with everything included. Many unusual (but factory) configuration features. Exceedingly rare. This vehicle is one of a...
Man do I hate marketing people. The same genius that decided to throw away the LR3 name must have named these packages too. What's so hard about SE and HSE? Oh, HSE is better, so lets call them all HSE's! Yah, that'll fool 'em!
LOL, I'm blushing. thanks John :-)

Are you sure you a have a cup holder there? Not ever LR3 has one there. Mine for example, is just a blank. I thought about adding one, but it was $150 or something stupid like that, so I just have the blank faceplate. It looks the same as one with a cup holder, but pushing it is like wishing...
Good write up and excellent observations. I'm sure one of the clicks you heard was the Crash Unlock feature. The car automatically locks its doors above 5mph, but any accident that triggers the air bags, it automatically unlocks all the doors.
1. Could be due to the capture nut that holds on the struts. There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this. It is not normal to have the rear rattle problematically or on smooth roads.
2. This is a very typical and known issue. There is a TSB on this also. It's just a software...
Its a long story. This particular LR3 was imported by Land Rover North America prior to the LR3’s launch in the US Market. It has a unique option’s configuration while LRNA tried to figure out what trim levels and options they wanted to offer the US. This vehicle was used internally by...
Wow, dude, seriously? You are comparing off road ability to a 20 mil clearcoat thickness on painted plastic stickers? Good luck with that letter. Do you speak Hindi?
OffRoving's Great Divide trips are timing to be just before the Land Rover National Rally. The dates for the rally slide around a bit, but they are usually sometime between July and September. Every other year the Rally is in Moab, and those dates tend to be later to allow it to cool down.
Well, next fall the National Rally is in Moab. That is a must do for sure. 200 Land Rovers on the nations most fun trails. Here is a preview;

Awesome shots Boaz. MTurneua, if you are anywhere near the southwest, give OffRoving a shot. On occasion, I assist with them and we do destination runs in various places. We'll probably do Mojave Road this winter, and we've done Sedona, as well as numerous places in southern California (our...
I think it depends on where you use it and how often you wheel with a group. If you are in a dusty area like pretty much all of the southwest, I would not do it. If you regularly follow in a line of trucks (raising dust), I would not do it.
