There are half a dozen screws holding the cover on, but yes, it's right behind the passenger headlamp on the left hand drive models -
Noob requesting advice

As I said, rumors vary. Gerry at OC Rover says Jag, and I think he went to the UK to be trained on it before he went Indy. I Know the Ford Ranger v6 has parts that don't fit because I tried :-) -

The V6 is almost completly maintainence free. It's sourced from Jaguar, but rumors vary. I know the Jag guys use it in race platforms. -

Ah, well there is your problem I'll bet. With your tires running so stiff, there is no way for them to conform around the rock to avoid puncture. And No, you will not break a wheel! LOL, you have be moving pretty fast to whack a rock that hard. I've seen it done though. The wheel was bent... -

how deep can you go...?
THe key is keeping water away from the air intake on the right side of the vehicle. If you go at a nice slow deliberate speed, you will form a bow wave in front of the vehicle, that helps keep water low as it goes past the front wheel, thus, clear of the intake. Seach Google for videos of... -

Mike, all LR3's come with a locking center differential in the transfer case. The only available locker option is a variable e-locker in the rear. You cannot upgrade the unit without completely rewiring the vehicle, replacing the transmission control unit, engine control unit, terrain... -

Broke my first part... replacement?
I ground mine down on rocks until they were just silly, then removed them. Since I never put a full size spare under the vehicle, I really didn't need the heat shield. -

My coopers lasted well over 40k miles also. Curious, what pressure did you run on Top of the World? I broke a bead on a rock (literally broke it, not just pushed off the rim) on my Nitto's, but never had any problems with my Coopers, despite frequent torture off road. The BFG AT's are going... -

Bridgestone deuler revo's are excellent road oriented tires that won't die off road -
Door Gaskets and RS Sliders
Normal. That mud wiper on the bottom of the door is not really a gasket. There is another, real gasket under the door that seals up against the slider and forms your water tight perimeter. -

I don't think that's what I'm seeing. I looks like the passenger side of the tank skid and how it laps over the RS sliders with a bent angle edge. No need for the bent edge that I can see. -

From some reason, the Discovery model did not have factory recovery points in the front, and only the trailer hitch in the rear. -

Mike, you know how much I appreciate your advice and participation on these forums, but when you stray from general tech, you are often incorrect, specifically with the LR3. The front and rear RECOVERY points are specifically made and designed by LR for that given task.
