I don't think 93 octane gas is the cause of a CEL. There is an outside chance it could be the O2 (oxygen) sensors. There are 4 of them, 2 on the headers, and 2 towards the rear of the exhaust system. If the PO used bad gas, there could be carbon build up on the sensors. Also, if you are... -

I have OFTEN wondered! Disco Mike, thanks for the bump, but when it comes to rod mods, I tend not to offer any advice, for two reasons: No personal experience as my LR3 did not have adjustable suspension, and for the other reason, I think it introduces a vulnerability to the front CV joints... -

No...mine were large black steel M12 bolts if I recall. However, my truck was a pre-production model (for NAS anyway). It could have been different from the normal LR3's, but I tend to doubt it. -

A/C Compressor Noise
Could it be the damper or butterfly valves within the ductwork? Mine were pretty noisy when they got dusty. Hard to access (take apart glove box area dash), but easy to fix with some lithium spray grease. -

The gas tanks are high strength polyethelene and are VERY difficult to puncture. However, the flimsy "shield" underneath it is VERY easy to bend, tear, deform, etc... The "shield" is actually the tray that holds up the tank, so you do need it. A new "shield" is around $400 from the dealer... -
