Hey all, just passed my Ham technician class and reading up here on setups. I have zero radio experience. Never played with a CB, though I did have a Motorola walkie-talkie for skiing. Anyways, I've seen a few people recommend the Baofeng and Kenwood. Can I get some guidance on what you all are...
You should be able to just pull the big bolt and remove the arm. This is exactly my plan since it's my daily. Probably go with a bare bones T44 bumper and have my fabricator make the mounts welded in place, the just pull the large hinge bolt when not running the arms.
I second the advice from @ryanjl re timing chains and it's in line with independent mechanics I've spoken to as well. Transmission fluid is still a headscratcher for me given the PITA pan. Wait till I notice some issues, or find a shop to perform the "snap 'n swap" on the pan. Anyways, yeah...
Personally I'd say...maybe. I'm in a similar position as you with 93k on the clock and have a long wishlist of parts on order, and hopfully Gobi coming in a few weeks, even approaching 6 figure mileage. Do you love it? Are you keeping it even when she needs guides/chains etc? Also, adding...
I have a ig post on this. I got my parts, cheapest with shipping for my case, from Parts LR Paramus. I happened to have the right size thread tap in my tool chest as the T-case is not threaded. It literally was 10 minutes and made a huge improvement. Cheers
Yeah this suggests the product they are potentially carrying was only half-baked and now they are trying to bring it home. Highly questionable on part of supplier.
Don't different pressures support different loads? And this is why they print pressure charts so we can determine, when not running oem, what pressures our tires should be set at to support different loads?

Yep the dealer posted the sale on their IG account. Yes I ran the vin as soon as I learned of it and in some of the photos you can see the full sized spare. Congrats to the new owner.
Obviously not mine but came across this in my area. Pretty killer deal it would seem for a Lux with HD at the mileage.

No experience but looking at their website:
Mounts directly to the chassis. Supported by zinc-coated steel brackets
and:
Mounted to original OEM bolt-points. No drilling, cutting, or welding required.
Includes all mounting hardware.
Supplied with a detailed bill of materials drawing and a...
Just a data point for OP, I had GREAT experience with the roadside werx crew when I bought my Disco from Land Rover Denver.
As to the rest, if the guy just does stuff “on the side” and isn’t a true business, then I could see why he’s not directly involved. OP, forget the dealer. Go over to...
I researched these too, but am opting for a new rear bumper with a swing for the above-stated reasons. But I gotta ask, *** did the builder put the hinge "upside down"?? It's like the guy was trying to **** your ground clearance. That hinge assembly should be on top of the arm, not beneath it...
I knew I was mounting more lights in the future so went with a generic switch-pod as seen in my post:

Take a look at this thread for mounting behind the grill...
In my case, I purchased from Land Rover Denver. So I found the best Land Rover shop in the area near the dealer, @roadsidewerx, and their Disco expert went over and performed all the inspections for me. That dealer also offered a 72hour return after driving off the lot. So after closing, I had...
Same size as you on Compos. I don't have very many miles on them yet, less than 1000. I'm running at 50/52 psi now with the Summit and a 12mm GAP lift. No weird wear yet that I can see. Everyone gives complements on the Grapplers though, so yay for style points LOL.
Hmm no I don’t think so. Just your normal off and on. At least as far as my wiring ability goes. Given the age and mileage of my rig, I went ahead and drilled through the dash to run the cable. That cover piece is $150 should I never need to replace it.
Spent the morning working on adding a switch pod. This one adjusts brightness of the backlight and has an auto memory function which will remember which lights you last used. Simple one-touch on/off of last used. Haven’t tested it but looked slick. Anyways, relied on awesome info here to find...
