In crawling around under the exhaust, has anyone considered just lopping off the pipes aft of the resonator and just welding in some 90 elbow turndowns from there, so the exhaust just exits down and not routing it all the way back to rear bumper? Seems to be about the only solution to rerouting...
Aside from tools and the emergency EAS setup above, what LR components is anyone packing? Spare ABS sensor front/rear, spare f/r suspension height sensor, air valves? Wasn't sure how prone to failure the height and abs sensors are on these.
I'm confused. You don't need to order new flares if you broke a clip. Body panel clips are all over ebay or Amazon for about $10. Or do you mean you broke the clip retainer on the plastic flare itself? How'd you do that? Your flares will be fine if it's missing one connection. But I agree, I've...
Hey MS. Awesome rig!
I bought my ARb already setup. It has the ARB fogs installed. No issues you speak of. I know ARB is notorious for piecing together all the little parts required. You sure you got everything?
Yeah I saw a YouTuber do something very similar on a 3. Admittedly I don’t know much about reliability of the push fittings, but my only concern with creating that kind of setup beforehand is that by my count it introduces about 16 new potential spots for leaks (4 new T connectors plus schrader...
Finally received the Gobi. 10 months. But enjoy the magnificent rack on this thing! Everything is top notch. Install smooth and straight forward. Couldn’t be happier with the setup. A few more pieces on the exterior and the transformation is complete!
Ooh I like that. More of a permanent fail safe I see. Thanks for the tips. Definitely sounds easy enough to assemble. I may go ahead and have a spare compressor on-hand as well, just in case.
Hey could you elaborate or your fitment of the APT trans plate? I have Bens compressor and tank skid but went to confirm trans fitment with the V8. He replied that the trans plate does not fit with the NA V8 and that modification would be needed and it’s not bolt on because it’s designed around...
There’s some great info here and I guess I’m hoping to also get some insight for my first extended trip.
In April I’ll be running 400 miles of the Mojave Heritage Trail with the NorCal Rover Club. I’ll be at around 95,000 miles in my 2012. In my year of ownership I’ve had 0 issues, which is...
Hey thanks. Sorry I wasn’t clear. Yes I’m familiar and have used said fuse taps. I just didn’t follow this part:
I wasn’t following the description of the orientation of the fuse tap and main feed and the comment about “bridging” the main fuse tap. If all this is simply to say, don’t leave the...
About to decide between a Renogy or Redarc for dcdc trailer charging. Though the Redarc is a bundle more, it has internal mppt. For F60 “blue wire” connection, I guess I don’t follow the orientation and bridging suggestions. Can you possibly dumb it down for me or maybe a pic of what you mean...
