    Seeking Specialty Torque Wrench

Park Tools makes great stuff. I have this small torque wrench which covers your 8 Nm but it has a standard 3/8" ratchet head, not a 1/4" female hex head. https://www.worldwidecyclery.com/products/park-tool-tw-5-2-ratcheting-click-type-torque-wrench

    Engine smell when flogging it

I notice a gas smell when I'm pushing it, especially off road on long uphills, washboards, bumps, etc. I thought maybe the fuel tank cracked flange recall wasn't fully corrected.

Coolant Crossover Pipe Repair 5.0 V8

I had my crossover pipes done in March 2021 at 77,147 miles. I bought my 2013 LR4 in August 2020 at 69,200 miles knowing full well that the crossover pipes would be done within a year of ownership. After 7 months there was that distinct Land Rover ownership delight...the sweet smell of...

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Thank you for sharing the photos. I was wondering how the fill ports were arranged and your first photo answers that...now I see what you mean about how the fuel filler cap seals up the system just as before.

    Wheels and Tires?

Those are good looking wheels. Like others have mentioned, 265/65/18 are a good size tire, the tallest tire, you can run in stock form. I'd choose that size over 265/60/18.

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Well you'd certainly want to fill yourself up with your auxiliary tank before you ran out of gas.

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

I've discussed this with my local Rover mechanic. He said they did one installation years ago and it was very difficult to get the fill system to play nice with all of the emissions systems. Sounds like the situation has been improved. Another idea to avoid the emissions system and CEL issues...

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Good info, thank you. I'll have my mechanic look at the compressor and valve blocks next time it's in for whatever breaks next.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

I followed the exact instructions in the GAP IID manual beginning on page 106. Then I proceeded with "Option 1: Calibrating the left sensor and using the right side as reference" that begins on page 108. I did all the calculations (see below) to yield the new calibration values. Then I...

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

OK, finished my suspension recalibration. First returned my ride height to default with the GAP IID tool, then followed the recalibration procedures. The front recalibration was -24mm and the rear was +17. Will see if it makes any difference. Also, my fault codes related to suspension are...

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Yes, he was buying a new Defender and returning his LR4 to stock. Really great guy - answered a lot of my newb questions about the LR4. I bought his Compomotive wheels and the fuel tank skid. Had the wheels stripped & re-powder coated in a satin silver.

Funny coincidence.....I purchased my truck's wheels and fuel tank skid plate from the original poster of this thread, umbertob.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Yes, those measurements are from ground to wheel arch. Will recalibrate with GAP and then recalibrate the Xlifter too. Will also see what suspension fault code is stored.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

I've also done some more reading and I see in another thread where you explain the misconception that I also had about the SYA spacers. They are not providing +2" height or lift, it is actually -2".

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

I've already ground back my front frame horns, I get just a bit of rub on full lock. So you're saying that I should install - permanently - 2.5" rods? After resetting the "normal" height to +25mm with the GAP IID tool, I also only use the X-lifter for height adjustment. I only touch the dash...

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Hello, new member reviving an old thread with a question for djkaosone... 2013 LR4 LUX HD I am running 275/65/18 (32") Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Compomotive wheels. I also have the X-lifter module instead of the rods. As expected, my tires rub on full compression in the rear wheel wells on...
