Coolant Crossover Pipe Repair 5.0 V8

Every long road trip I take into the middle of nowhere I wonder if my (replaced and updated part #) crossover pipe is going to explode on me. I honestly tempted to replace mine again, just for peace of mind.

Backup Camera stopped working with no explanation

This is the same problem I had with mine. Mine is a 2013 with the surround cameras. It always seemed worse in colder weather. Camera equalizers fixed them. I posted about them earlier in this thread I think with part numbers.

    Check All Tire Pressure Fault

My understanding is the 42 rear PSI is for the higher load capacity of the rear (towing) I always have run 36/42 however, as I tow every so often, and haven't had any ride or wear concerns.

    Showoff Your LR4

If you search american flag mountain decal on Etsy you can find a seller. My fiancée ordered it for me as a gift, and had to give the seller custom dimensions. It wasn't actually big enough as the stripes should go to the edge of the window, but I applied it anyways and it actually looks good...

    Showoff Your LR4

Hauling around a dump trailer with 1.5 tons of top soil. Guy at Home Depot said this was one of the weirdest vehicles he’s rented a trailer to (one other being a Model X) Scaled in at 8000 lbs and scaled out at 11040. Trailer weighs 2200 lbs according to Home Depot’s website, so that checks...

    SCV6 spark plugs

Have you noticed any change in the engine response/power? Fuel efficiency (hah, as if it matters on these vehicles) is probably slightly better. I haven’t done my plugs yet (120k miles) but haven’t seen any reason to get them done yet.

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

I'd find a Land Rover specific shop if you can. Not a dealer, but an indy.

    Lug Nuts Will Not Budge

Have you tried standing on the breaker bar? Proper torque spec is 105 ft lbs for future reference.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

Wasn't an AZ truck until I brought it here about 5 years ago. But still a lot of time here. I'll take a look at it some day.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

I was around 110k or 115k miles if I remember correctly. OEM, so 10 years old. I tore one of the rubber seals/components that seals the air in. At normal ride height and a flat road it actually didn't leak much, but higher ride heights or any extension on the airbag it was so bad. I'm assuming...

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

Honestly, probably less than 5k. Engine needs to come out for a full rebuild or replacement, and neither of those options are remotely cheap. I'm sure you know, but you can find decent LR4's for 10-15k now.

    Lucky 8 SYA Kit Problem

I was in Moab, 2 or 3 miles deep into a trail and had a front air strut develop a huge hole in the airbag. I was so happy that my tires weren't rubbing. That would have been the least of my problems. I'd go for the SYA kit but like others said, fix up any problems in your suspension.

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Idiot buffer. I’m sure most car manufacturers do this. Even Teslas have an idiot buffer on their batteries. Fuel is also difficult to measure when the tank isn’t shaped like a perfect square/rectangle. A level of 50% in the tank might not indicate 50% of your fuel capacity.

    Cosmetic for sun damage?

Could do a wrap, but they're not exactly cheap. Cheaper than paint though. Is your clearcoat failing/flaking off?

Tried to get my suspension fixed

5W20 for the V8's, but yeah, still wrong and not enough of it.

Toll-road RDIF sticker on LR4 windshield

There are some spots of the windshield that the heating element doesn't run through. You can see them pretty easily. On the sides and near the rear view mirror are two that come to mind.

    Intro and oil type/interval/filter questions

When I did mine I had a noise in my power steering pump, and within 2 or 3 exchanges it was gone. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/power-steering-groaning-noise-success-story.44628/

    Adaptive Headlight ECU Module

I think you would need a new pair of headlights. My understanding is there are the Halogens, Xenons, and the Adaptive Xenons.

    Intro and oil type/interval/filter questions

I didn't do a complete power steering fluid, but I just sucked the fluid out of the reservoir, added new fluid, started car, moved steering wheel back and forth a few times (can't remember if I lifted the front end for this or not) and then sucked more fluid out, rinse and repeat. So this method...

    Suspension dropped while in traffic

Haha didn’t know that you could do it like that. IID tool can do it as well.

    Suspension dropped while in traffic

The desiccant in part of the air compressor assembly tends to break down and start going through the airlines, then getting on the O rings of the valve blocks, causing a leak. My car noticeably sagged after sitting for 4 days or so, so I took apart my front valve block and just cleaned it...

    Suspension dropped while in traffic

If the front sags overnight it will raise back when you start the engine. Your front valve block might be leaking or the air struts could also be leaking. There’s a fuse you can pull, let the car sit overnight, and check the results in the morning. Measure the suspension height right after...

    LR4 Owner Considering Disco 2

I do agree with you on increasing length, but it is a pain to get our spare out. I do a 5 tire rotation, so I am doing it frequently. Not as bad at home. I got a flat as I was driving to a camping trip and was able to change it in a gas station, but I had to take a ton of crap out of the back.

2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install

I'm not 100% sure on the Euro lights but on mine there's a phillips head adjustment screw to level them up and down. You can also configure them for left hand or right hand drive, which might be part of the problem as well.

    LR4 Owner Considering Disco 2

That’s the biggest disappointment with the new Defender. Cargo space. I’m going to buy a 110 eventually, probably within a year or so, but I’m keeping my LR4. There isn’t much that is comparable.
