If the company is ProSpeed Lucky8 can source them for you. Just give them a call/email.

    Long crank, no faults

If you completely floor it the engine won’t start. Not sure about partial throttle. I’m sure there’s a threshold.

Love my Toyos. Wouldn’t hesitate to put another set on. If I go to 18” wheels I’m throwing Nitto Ridge Grapplers on, or one of their other hybrid tires.

On another note, an aging LR4 can benefit from a transmission service with a Sonnax Zip Kit. I plan on doing mine eventually.

If you're leaving pavement I'd buy AT tires if you don't have any already. OEM control arm bushings are superior to the poly bushings. You will have a smoother and less harsh ride. As far as brakes, you could swap out pads/rotors that don't dust as much compared to the OEM brakes, but I'm happy...

Can I Add Adaptive Cruise Control?

What parts did you buy? Just the radar unit + steering wheel buttons? Any additional wiring harnesses? If it's only $300 or so and a firmware flash I'd be interested in doing this...

Can I Add Adaptive Cruise Control?

I read a few pages of a thread on disco3.co.uk and it is nearly impossible for a 2013 and older. It is not worth the hassle.

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

I've never had great luck with this. Sand mode with DSC off seems to be the best combination but I can still feel the ABS grabbing a wheel here and there.

Random question but if you live around Phoenix what shop do you go to?

    ZF8HP70 for ZF6HP28 swap?

Funny thing is, I think an LR4 will go a bit faster than 120 judging by what I've experienced. Haven't done it though, as this things a brick.

    Idle Help

You don't really need to do anything, but if you have a GAP you might as well make sure the car knows the correct battery type and what not.

    Idle Help

When you have multiple codes that seem unrelated, and happen somewhat suddenly, it usually indicates a bad battery. This ones weird though with your code reader. Are you still having the low idle shudder? If the vehicle is new to you, and you're not sure how old the battery is it might not be a...

Loosing a little bit of coolant

I put reverse osmosis water in an iron once, and promptly rusted it... that's how I learned. Good to have some good insight though.

Loosing a little bit of coolant

I hate this debate too, and was in a predicament when I replaced my radiator. I ended up using reverse osmosis water mixed with the coolant concentrate. Reverse osmosis water alone will rust/corrode metals, but the coolant has anti corrosive additives in it so I figured that was fine. Didn't...

    Battery rundown protection?

There is a point in where you start opening doors and the interior lights stop coming on. I reach that threshold pretty much every camping trip. Never had a dead battery. I also don't lock my car until I sleep or go away from my campsite, so it is unlocked most of the day. I know we tend to...

    Battery rundown protection?

I don't worry about my battery when I camp and go on trips. I always carry a Noco lithium jump starter. Have the Noco GB40. They make bigger ones too. Have never had any issues camping. I did however come home from work a few months ago to a dead car. Jumped it, replaced the battery the next...

Loosing a little bit of coolant

The cooling system of this vehicle is its achilles heel. And people think its the timing chain. Seems almost weekly that there is a post (here, the other LR forum, or the Facebook group) about a LR4 committing suicide due to overheating.

Yep, not wrong. I'm a numbers guy, and usually have a good idea of what this things costing me. Luckily I'm in good financial health, but I can see how these vehicles burn a lot of people. I'm on reddit a lot, and like to lurk on /r/personalfinance... There are some interesting posts there...
