    AC not cooling - B11FF-85 (2E) code

You can use the GAP tool to pull up the refrigerant pressure. Should help you diagnose a bit more.

Only 5 quarts of oil drained second oil change in a row (also… drain plug?)

The other part in that photo is the PCV valve. I'd be careful about overfilling these engines, the sump is already oversized (for off road angles) I would rather be a quart low than a quart high.

    Control arm fail

They’re doable in your garage, but it’s almost essential to cut the old ones off if they’re seized. Mine were and my vehicle is rust free. I used a Milwaukee M18 Hackzall.

    Control arm fail

Lower control arms are super common on these. Uppers not so much. If you put your car in drive, accelerate to 5 mph or so, and slam on the brakes you will feel the clunk of the control arms. How much did he quote you for the parts/install? Remember you need an alignment afterwards too.

2012 - Decreased power on incline

Agreed. My engine feels the same as it did when I bought it. OP can you post a video?

    maintenance history since new 2013

After installing cheap aftermarket control arms, I’ll never put **** parts on my vehicle again. 35,000 miles and I’m ready for new control arms already.

    Batteries

Paid $185 for an Interstate H8 AGM back October 23, and $193 for the same battery May 2020. From Costco.

Why do american trucks get much better mpg that the lr4?

Coefficient of drag on the LR4 is 0.4 New Defender 0.38 Looks like 1500s and Silverado's are about 0.36 to 0.38 - Can't find much info on F150s since Ford doesn't seem to release that data. Plus better engine tech/gearing is probably going to give them a slight advantage. Another big drag on...

    Highest mileage LR4?

Agreed. If you want the math to work on a car, you buy a CPO Toyota and drive it until the wheels fall off. I don't plan on selling my LR4. I’m actually looking for another vehicle to daily drive now (Defender, Rivian, Bronco or something similar) to stop putting a lot of miles on it.

Anyone care to admit this was them? Off the edge of a cliff and recovery from Matt's Offroad Recovery.

Aren’t all of his winch lines synthetic? They’re the Badlands winches from Harbor Freight. I have the same winch on my LR4.

Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off

Never had issues with mine. Rust free (Thanks to Arizona) My biggest issue with it is you have to empty all your crap out of the back if you get a flat. I pulled into a gas station right before I was about to hit the trail, heard air leaking out of my tire and luckily I was able to change it...

    Highest mileage LR4?

120k and it uses a very small amount. Maybe .5 to 1 quart between oil changes (7500 miles)

    Lr4 oil level meter capacity

Check it the same way every time. Flat level ground. I check mine with the engine cold, in my garage. My engine consumes a very small amount of oil, but its at the point where I don't have to add any between changes.

Only 5 quarts of oil drained second oil change in a row (also… drain plug?)

If you go into the system menu, at a certain point it will tell you to add X quarts of oil. I don't know if it will ever tell you without you going into that menu. I check my oil level all the time. Free insurance.

Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off

You can put the hook used for the jack into a drill chuck..... that's how I've always raised and lowered my tire. Just don't overtorque anything and watch your wrists. You should always have tension on the cable when raising/lowering so it doesn't bind up.

    Failed emissions - no faults

There is a setting in the infotainment to show the volume numerical value. It's either under system or audio. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll find it on my car and let you know.

Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off

https://www.roverparts.com/wheels-tires/spare-tire-relocators/LR024145OEM/ I'd probably go with this one, however I doubt it is actually an OE part.

    maintenance history since new 2013

With my own experience, more things start popping up around 100k miles on our vehicles. If I were buying an LR4 I'd look for a 2013-2016 with less than 80k miles, and the HD package. Of course those will cost more, and still have the same problems though.

Anyone care to admit this was them? Off the edge of a cliff and recovery from Matt's Offroad Recovery.

There's been a few images of LR3/4's being rolled over off road and they all hold up remarkably well. Matt obviously didn't like driving the wrecker up that trailer either, so I'm sure it is pretty hairy. Never appears that way on video. I'd love to see how they rolled it just purely to learn...

Metal plumbing available for LR4 coolant system?

I agree but the typical failure mode when the leak goes unaddressed is catastrophic.

    Metal coolant plumbing for LR4?

I’m pretty sure a metal crossover pipe exists for the V6 but someone here said the castings and quality weren’t great.

Low tire pressure indicator light didn't shut off

You should get an inflator… Milwaukee M18 Tire Inflator if you have any of their other tools… plenty of other options that connect to the cars battery terminals or have their built in batteries. The TPMS is picky about turning off if the pressure isn’t correct.

    maintenance history since new 2013

Ehh, goes both ways. My mom just bought a 2013 Jeep. Has great maintenance records, super clean inside and out, 120k miles. Already have replaced the transfer case fluid (had a clunk, and this resolves it) the AC low pressure refrigerant line was leaking, and now it needs a water pump +...
