Several Land Rover parts for sale. Trailer Hitch, AMK Compressor, Transmission Service Kit, etc.

Hey I'll buy the center valve block. Shoot me a PM.

Loosen and retorque suspension bolts when lifting?

Probably didn’t help that it had 110k miles on it, but I was on a very bumpy trail in Moab, was sick of the trail taking forever so I upped the pace and at some point it was just ******* air out. Never threw a suspension light by the way. Just heard the air hissing out when I was driving along...

Loosen and retorque suspension bolts when lifting?

Just remember the manual inflating won't work if you completely blow out an air strut... ask me how I know.

Loosen and retorque suspension bolts when lifting?

Are you on coils then? No air suspension? Or running an IID lift/lift rods?

    Weird vibration

I can’t remember if I used my GAP IID tool to do it or not, but I do remember backing off the wheel manually to pull the rotor off. You have to use a flathead screwdriver and it’s kind of a pain to get everything lined up.

Towing - I Have Not Done My Homework...

I’ll be honest I own one 2” drop, and another 2” drop that’s upside down (so a 2” raise) and I’ve always used the raised hitch. U-Haul and plenty of other trailers and it’s been great. Cheaper option than the adjustable ones.

    Testing air suspension for leaks?

I’m sure it’s more for stability than aerodynamics, considering our LR4’s have the same drag coefficient as a brick wall.

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I actually love browsing for cars on cars and bids because of how strict they are with their photos. Every car is for the most part presented the same way. I’ve noticed within the past 6 months or so the listing photos have declined in quality, and I hope it doesn’t get any worse.

    New engine noise

I’ll be honest when I was broke/unemployed right after Covid hit I ran a bunch of 87 octane through my LR4. Never had issues. Could never tell the difference between 87 and 91. I have always run top tier fuel though, usually from Costco.

    2013 auto high beam assist

When you're in park there should be a sensitivity setting. If you don't have that maybe your vehicle doesn't have it?

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

If JLR made the new D5 all electric, and made it look close to a LR4 I'd be interested... as long as they can do it correctly and give it plenty of range. I just picked up a Rivian R1T and everything is engineered so well, it all works together, everything has a purpose, and it should do great...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

D5 was a bust. I really wanted to like that car, but the design isn't right. Then I wanted the diesel, but they're not reliable...

    Lr4 Brakes

I never really attempted to stop squealing brake pads on my LR4. Chasing the noise seems non stop. These vehicles are heavy and have big brakes. They’re going to make some noise. Under very light braking I hear some squealing if I have the windows down. If they’re up I can’t hear it. Mine also...

    Can't get into Extended mode

Just to be clear, you can select access height, normal, and off road heights? Correct? You can’t manually select extended mode. It’s automatic when the vehicle senses that it is high centered.

    Can't get into Extended mode

Only way to get into extended mode is to trick the vehicle into thinking it’s high centered. If you put a jack stand under the frame rail, and hit lower in the air suspension it should sense that. Careful doing this. Then in extended mode, you can go into super extended mode which involves...

Anyone end up buying their Grenadier order

I initially wanted one but it didn’t make as much sense. I already have my LR4, so I ended up buying a Rivian R1T. Just picked it up and it’s great. Going to off road both my LR4 and the R1T soon, and get a good comparison. Would love to have a Grenadier as well but it doesn’t make sense to...

Obviously too late for most of us, but you can install paint protection film and prevent this before any damage is there.

Looking for thoughts on leak under engine block

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

I wouldn't. I had 5 gallons of fuel in a jerry can. Only reason I did that.

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

My highest fillup was 21.614 gallons. You have to drive a lot past 0 miles to empty on the vehicles calculation.

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

When I refuel I let the pump click off, and then I don't "top off" or anything for the reason you stated above. If you use the same pump it should be consistent enough.

    2015 LR4 SCV6 Gas Mileage

The onboard computer is inaccurate. Reset your trip odometer and do a manual calculation at the pump and you'll see it's about 10-15% off. Onboard computer is too optimistic. There is a CCF setting to offset the onboard computer which I've done (IID tool) so mine matches up.

    Fluids change after 9 years?

I would personally replace the coolant crossover pipes before anything else. It's the #1 risk on making your vehicle nearly worthless.
