    MPG - Gotta be wrong....

    You need a GAP tool to adjust it, or possibly the Land Rover SDD tool, but I'm not familiar with that one. Mine was about 15% too optimistic. I use fuelly.com on every single fill up to track expenses and MPG.

    Bad ECM or something else?

    The thermostat is electronically controlled though, it isn't purely mechanical. Also anyone who isn't vacuum bleeding the cooling system is just asking for more work/problems.

    I have the V8 but it sounds like noisy fuel injectors. I'm sure someone else can chime in. If the timing chain is bad you'll really only hear it slap on startup, but being a 2016 and having 86k miles on it I'm sure it's fine.

    4WD System Question

    Pretty sure some of the older model years will show the rear diff, so that isn't a good way to tell. If you're driving around in one with the rear locker you'll see it partially lock up while accelerating in a straight line.

    First post- going to look at a LR4 soon.

    Haven't we had a few posts here of timing chains going on the V6? The upgraded guides came in mid-late 2013. However, with poor oil change intervals it's not going to do an engine any favors. The crossover pipes grenade way more engines though.

    My 2013 with the updated parts is still running strong at 131k miles. I’m not daily driving it anymore though, so hopefully I never experience a timing chain issue.

    Dash Cam - Best Options?

    I installed a Blackvue (front facing and rear facing cameras) and used an add a fuse for power. Wires are all run in the headliner/door seals and are hidden.

    I've noticed the same in my LR4. Same mileage too, about 131k. Haven't bothered to do anything about it since its subtle, but my first thought went to motor mounts too. I'll take a look at my intake tube clearance at some point.

    Headlight oxidation

    I’ve gone down the headlight refinishing rabbit hole a few times. Best option is to refinish them, then clear coat them, and then also PPF them with high quality film. Bonus points for sealant/ceramic coating on top of the PPF.

    I have a BlackVue hardwired up. Used an add a fuse for the install. It’s not Land Rover specific in anyway. One add a fuse is switched power, and one of them is constant 12v.

    What are you looking to do with it? The V8 is going to be slightly better for towing/off roading. V8 has more torque/horsepower. V8 has the 6 speed transmission. All V8's have the 2 speed transfer case. Not all V6's do (it was included in the HD package) V6 has the 8 speed transmission...

    Preventative maintenance is a great thing to do that most people overlook, with the exception of oil changes. You didn't throw away old parts. You replaced parts that were a ticking timebomb.

    Considering the amount of ECU changes/configuration updates you need to get the supercharged 5.0 into an LR4, it would be nearly impossible. I know someone has LS swapped an LR4 too, but once again, project car, not daily driver. So yes it is possible, but not practical.

    Well you need to find out who makes the “aftermarket” glass. There are different companies. If Pilkington makes it you’re good. Make sure it’s the one with the heating element too, unless you don’t want it.
