    Disco3 windscreen washer fault

Okay....lots to unpack here, but have you tried putting in a 20A fuse? At least here in the states that fuse was changed to 20 amps around 2014.

What exactly does "reflashing a transmission" mean? Not being a smartass here....honest question.

06' LR3 Christmas tree of fault lights HDC, Park brake, lowered suspension

It isn't always the brake switch, and that fault looks like something different since the CEL is also on. It could be voltage related, water ingress related, etc. You need the fault codes.

How long 2005 HSE will last?

I thought so as soon as I saw the bit about timing chains...the 4.4L just doesn't have such issues. Best of luck to you, you'll want to post this in the RR section for better response/feedback.

What model? This is an LR3 forum, but I have a feeling your vehicle is a Range Rover.

    2005 LR3 oddities

...also if it's ALL your doors, it could be something more simple. You've seen that tool mentioned because it's probably the most important tool an LR3 owner can have in their toolbox.

    2005 LR3 oddities

You should get an IIDTool from GAP Diagnostics. It will pay for itself instantly as you can program a key FOB with it. The door thing sounds like a bad lock actuator. I don't think the BRAKE indication and engine fault warning would be related.

New guy, new LR3 owner with a question, please help!!!!!

Sounds like an instrument cluster issue. I've read about this but have not encountered it myself (knock on wood). You can get them off ebay and install them with the GAP. I have heard that they have to have equal or greater mileage than what you currently show on the ODO; can't verify that...

    What would you do?

It will give specific messages. So yes, buy the IIDTool made by GAP Diagnostics. Use it to calibrate your suspension, and live happily ever after. That is your plan. Please do report back. I'd like to hear the outcome.

    What would you do?

That isn't really a solution. Do you have a GAP Tool?

    What would you do?

@douglastic that is exactly how I feel, too. What am I gonna go get, a 4Runner? Fine, but boring. There are so few body-on-frame 4x4s with V8s available out there. Maybe none, in fact....at least not new. So I'd rather have an old Rover than an old anything else. I love the LR3 so much, I...

    What would you do?

I am going to be brutally honest here, it sounds like you threw parts at the EAS without really knowing what needed to be fixed. You installed new shocks and new sensors, did you calibrate it after? Is your compressor working properly? Did you check for leaks? The EAS doesn't just $hit the bed...

Not a mechanic what do you guys think the diagnostic read means

I know this coolant system can be a real pain to bleed air out of. That could still be your issue. Of course look for the usual signs of a failed head gasket, too.

Not a mechanic what do you guys think the diagnostic read means

You can ignore all those codes except the P0171 code. That is a "lean code" and usually has to do with a vacuum leak, dirty/faulty MAF Sensor....but could be a lot of different things, too. Are you noticing any actual effect on performance?

2006 LR3 Christmas tree - dark instrument panel - then dead

You might get your battery "load tested" to see if it's compromised. Between that, replacing as necessary, and never plugging the GAP into a running vehicle, I haven't had any repeat instances of this.

Same scenario? Did you plug in a GAP tool while the engine was running?

Please give me advice to buy LR3 08 now or not ?

This is a big point of contention among enthusiasts. Personally, I prefer the EAS and would not want a coil-converted vehicle; however, I do understand and appreciate the rationale for doing that conversion and in some cases it could make sense. It really just depends on what is important to you.

Please give me advice to buy LR3 08 now or not ?

I gotcha....not a huge fan of the V6, but if it suits your needs, there is no real reason not to get it.

Not sure about the Japan Spec; unfamiliar. Does it have the same 4.4L V8 that is sold in North America?

Please give me advice to buy LR3 08 now or not ?

@djatkinson maybe on a different thread so as not to jack Mith's, you can break down the likes/dislikes of each model. I think the LR4 is cool...interior is nice and more refined. I like the LR3's exterior a lot better though, and the 4.4L is anecdotally more robust than the 5.0. I don't own...

    05 LR3 transmission trouble

That could be almost anything that spins. Bearings, diffs, driveshaft. You likely need to get a pair of Chassis Ears on it so you can pinpoint the source. Bearings are fairly easy to test yourself, too.

Wind noise/hum on newly acquired LR3

Yeahhhh....but the air compressor might be so ******** loud that it masks the noise you're listening for.
