    Crossover Pipe - Replace Pre-Emptively?

I know this...just wondering if this particular component was compatible, and if it's metal.

    Crossover Pipe - Replace Pre-Emptively?

Does the LR3 use plastic? If not, maybe you can use that part...?

    LR4 on 33's

I love this!!! For the record, I think Jwest is absolutely spot-on, but I want Jones to keep going from a pure curiosity/entertainment aspect.

    LR4 on 33's

So get the spacers and rods, install and then test fit the one tire....then pull the trigger on the other three if you like the fitment....and after you get back from your business trip wrap it all up? So realistically, end of April. Alright....

    LR4 on 33's

So when do you decide on the purchase of the other three tires? What's the criteria and timeline? You now have a captive audience!!

    L319 vs. L462...

D5 "stronger" than the IBF?? Prove it!

    LR4 on 33's

Okay...I like the video WAY more than I like the setup of the vehicle. I enjoyed the swearing and the Napolean Dynamite'esque exit. That said, I do think 33s will fit because I have 32.6s on and I have clearance. ...but then again I have a 2005 LR3 and if I even have a frame horn it doesn't...

    LR4 on 33's

Success or failure, this is a GREAT thread. We are all watching with bated breath and stand to learn a lot from it. Worth noting though: you need FOUR tires. :) :) :)

    L319 vs. L462...

Fording depth is better. Ground Clearance is about the same in off-road height....angles are about the same....that crawl ratio, they increased it? The LR3 has a 45.6:1 crawl ratio with the same 2.93 low range. Wheel travel?

    L319 vs. L462...

All this talk about D5 capabilities, I'd like to see the following numbers: Ground clearance Angles (app, depp, b/o) Wheel travel (front and rear) Crawl ratio x torque@1000 RPMs

    Major Coolant Leak

You can prolly troubleshoot the coolant sensor by unplugging it to see if you get an alert.

    Major Coolant Leak

Did you check the coolant level once you were home? I would replace that valve with a brass one and refill with coolant. Maybe you got lucky!

Replacement of Air Strut Assembly: 06 LR3 HSE

Yeah I wasn't sure....I know it looked too rocky to be Tahuya but the vegetation didn't look like the typical Ponderosa Pine and Sage of central/eastern WA either. I have yet to go to Naches, but I've done parts of Manastash; similar terrain but I know Naches is a little more intense. I'm also...

Replacement of Air Strut Assembly: 06 LR3 HSE

Yeah, dj said his tech has a Defender for wheelin so probably went coil just to make it less expensive to maintain. I get that...I wouldn't do it, but I get it. Jwest what trail is that? Just Tahuya?

Replacement of Air Strut Assembly: 06 LR3 HSE

How does your Rover tech know that they will need replacing soon? This has been a question of mine for a long time....I have replaced both fronts but my rears seem good. Feels like new; I have 128,000 on the clock. How can a person tell when the rears need to be replaced??? Fronts are easy to...

Ha! finally I have a "known issue" to fix on the LR3 - rear tailgate latch switch

Mine failed a long time ago and I had the actuator replaced under warranty. It hasn't happened again. Are the replacement parts better? Is the install done such that it precludes it happening again? Is there a TSB that changes the install?

    change of 4.4 l on my LR3 to 5 L or 3L

Negative. Hers is a 328HP RWD Q50S. It does not have direct adaptive steering nor any of the other electronic driving nannies. It's a joy to drive, it's just not an F-Type.

    change of 4.4 l on my LR3 to 5 L or 3L

The OP asked specifically about going to the LR4 engine, not just something "meatier" or else this whole comparative discussion would not have transpired. I'll agree straight away that the 4.4L is a bit undersized for the LR3. My only real point was that the 4.4 seems to be a more robust engine...

    change of 4.4 l on my LR3 to 5 L or 3L

I think that's my point, too, jwest....it's all nonsense. They are both slow...and one being "fast for a heavy SUV" is a pointless qualification like "it's pretty fast for how slow it is." All dumb. They are both solid 4x4s. Done and done.

    change of 4.4 l on my LR3 to 5 L or 3L

The LR3 is slow...no argument. ...so is the LR4. The caveats don't work for me. Meaning "fast for a ...." is a self-nullifying statement.
