Last time I ever give YOU advice!!!! (just joking)
I post on an Oregon State message board and there is a poster there that goes by "GSMbeaver" and since you have an Oregon license plate on your LR3, I thought for sure you are one and the same. Whoops....I guess I can stop calling you "Tibs"...
That doesn't feel correct, but I don't know for sure. In 2014 I took my LR3 to the Yukon Territory. As it was almost 9 years old, I decided to replace all things rubber since we were going to sub-zero temps. That included all coolant hoses and (I believe) brake lines as well. It didn't cost that...
I have a lot of questions....
1. Why would the lower control arm need to be supported? I have never heard of this.
2. If you were 5' in the air, how did the 2x4s help? I can't picture the configuration of their lift/ramp.
Really? You didn't try coils or other things first??? You just went with a non-Rover Mechanic's doomsday diagnosis and ditched it? That just feels like a bad move to me. What did you get in its stead? Nothing is the same.
It's legally required in WA as well....but cops don't seem to enforce it. I got pulled over ONCE on a back road between a resort and the nearest (small) town. I think the cop just wanted to flex...and make sure I wasn't drunk or whatever. He mentioned the plate and let me go.
I keep one in the...
It looks good...I like it. I'm not gonna do it, but I dig it. Oh...take off that stupid front license plate, man!!! That will give your look a real boost!!
I been ridin' dirty sans plate for 15 years....
I kind of wonder if there wasn't some poor quality tie rods in the supply chain for a while. I went through a similar situation a few years ago. I managed to get 18k on a set of tie rods! I also run that size tire but not full-time. Half the year I run stock sized.
