It comes down to how well you can tolerate down time and your desire to DIY. If you have another vehicle you can use while you "tinker", the alternator itself can be had from FCPEuro for about 350. $900 in labor seems like a lot, though surely some of that will go to replacing the serpentine... -

I found the OEM hitch receiver to place the hitch a bit low, so ended up reversing my hitch ball mount to raise the ball up to compensate. Used it with a U-Haul car hauler to tow a Miata - the car likely weighs less than the trailer itself. Towed like a dream, you just have to get used to... -

I don't know that they sell just the plastic part, or are you suggesting you buy the whole thing, and swap just the plastic part in? Either way you're going to need to bleed the system, and I would prefer to get all the fresh hoses in there since you'll have them on hand. The little hoses go... -

2015 TPMS function
