I have 'lumpy' steering now too, with the car not wanting to go back to straight on its own. I suspect the U-Joint, as the symptoms seem to align. If I remove it from the car to inspect (and possibly spray lube), can the bolts that clamp the U-joint to the steering rack be reused? -
