This is not a very difficult DIY job if you go with the metal pan upgrade option. It has a separate filter and pan. You don't have to remove the cross member or mess with engine mounts. LR4 group has a recent thread on it... -

Big problem with direct injection motors like ours is that the fuel doesn't touch the top parts of the intake valves.. so that wont help. Fuel does have additives in it to keep intake valves clean on non DI motors. -

Do you have pictures? I don't know of any other fixes other than having them 'walnut shell blasted' or whatever a machine shop would do to fix them. Valve cleaner and careful elbow grease is probably fine. How bad is it? Causing issues? codes? -
Question about vibration of new engine?
I don't understand how they can even think a skid plate is involved. A skid plate can vibrate and make noise maybe, but it is obviously isn't causing a vibration being attached to frame/subframe parts... Is it an abnormal amount of engine vibration? bad idle? MAF/intake messed up? -

I like the brightness. And yes you did warn me. Will be fantastic for camping. I am also just interested in lower power draw. Taking out the middle seat is quite easy, just make sure you have the correct bit for those bolts. No wires or anything for the middle seats. -

Got my kit... BRIGHT AF! But very nice color temp. Easy install. I need to plug in the IID and see what it thinks the amp pull is now. I bet it is a lot less. Those old bulbs get way hot. -
LR5 Release Updates?
I wonder if you can override the auto-lowering feature when parking. I camp a lot and I basically live out of the tailgate on my LR4. I need to be able to walk to the back and have the tailgate clear my head without ducking or thinking about it. Sometimes I put my rig up to off-road height...- mbw

powerful is mentioned on the UK forums quite a bit and I ordered a light kit from them. They were very responsive to my question. They even listed a new kit because it was mentioned but not listed yet. Haven't gotten the kit yet, but it can take some time for shipping. Not their fault. -

Not sure about powerdercoating, but good old rattle can paint job can look just fine. I know some people use the plastidip stuff, but i don't know how durable it is. -

I haven't had my 2nd row middle seat in for awhile now. That is where the cooler or fridge or other junk goes.
