I'm not aware of any. They look good on the 4 runners, but obviously don't protect you as well from animal strikes or sliding into trees.
I'm loving my ARB Summit bar. (Works for 2010+ LR4 despite what ARB says)
Much easier to use a vacuum refill tool to get the air out.
For the coolant.
Manual says. "Castrol SF antifreeze."
Shop manual says "Jaguar specification WSS M97B44-D" which is a ford spec.
---> Pentofrost SF (SF-G12+) coolant <----- its Pink & Clear, its WSS M97B44-D
Both are...
Ya, no.. you can't block half the engines air intake... for hopefully obvious reasons.
I don't know if its possible to add any type of dust filtering in the intakes without messing with the flow sensors too much, the engine is picky about that.
As for water, you don't want water over your...
I get that you have some miles on it.. but for $9k... can you get anything else that has anywhere near the capability of this? I'd drive it until it had issues that you didn't want to address. Probably get a lot more than another $9k out of her. But good luck either way. I need to buy...
Admire the effort for the 17" wheels, and they look fantastic... but I am sitting here thinking about my driving over mountain ranges fully loaded for a long trip, with the whole family on board. Descending, even with engine braking my V8.... I'll stick with the big ass brakes and 18" :D
I am by no means a machinist, so I don't know how it works, but can you CNC a part like this with a complex cavity? Even with a fancy 5 axis, could you get a tool into that? Unless you CNC the different 'halves' like the plastic version and bond them together, I can't see how that would work.
I reached out to my buddy about this. Waiting to hear back on the manufacturing front.
I don't have one of these handy, but looking at images and reading a bit.. it seems like the factory part is a two piece plastic cast that is bonded together. That obviously makes for a weak point. I am...
I'm in as well.
if we need more hunting on the manufacturing side of this... I know a guy who has contacts in china to get things made.... I also work in manufacturing visualization software so I'd love to see the CAD file at some point.
I highly recommend grabbing a vacuum refill tool.

This thing makes it easy to drain and fill the coolant to the right level and without air in...
Seems to be a little confusion on what coolants are used and its color. My notes have the following.
Owners Manual says. "Castrol SF antifreeze." (its orange)
Shop manual says "Jaguar specification WSS M97B44-D" which is a ford spec.
I buy Pentofrost SF (SF-G12+) coolant ... its Pink &...
I don't really have a build thread for it, but happy to answer questions if you need. The front ARB Intensity lights are on a couple relays, triggered by the high beam wire on the passenger side.
I did my ARB install myself. I just worked on it in the evenings after work over the span of about 4 days, a few hours at a time. Then at the very end just had a neighbor come over to help lift it. I got a big piece of carpet and just put it on my garage floor to work on the bumper.. so it...
I went for top of the line and I love it. Used it many times and it pulls great, no drama. Love the remote control clutch and wireless.
Warn Zeon Platinum 10-s (same motor as the 12-s just with different gearing, you can always do double line pulls, but not really needed.
Here is a video of...
yes, @avslash he must have changed it. The rotation part is even different. a single little bolt/clamp rather than bolts that screw into the pivot like that.
I think the newer Summit bar is way nicer looking, with better design, than the older deluxe bar. (ignore ARB saying it wont fit on pre 14 model years.. it was perfect on my 13) The top bar/tube is much larger now, I have big hands and I can't get my fingers all the way around it. The new fog...
I just stuck my FTM400 on the dash with the included sticky mount.. hope it doesn't damage it if I ever move it. I put the mic mount down on the center console near my right knee. 40" VHF/UHF ant is mounted on my ARB bull bar. Perfect fit.
I'd probably do a new bumper also.. Wonder what the condition is on the used one.. if its been sitting.. did it have crash damage? rust? Could be a pain in multiple ways. They are a pain enough to install when fresh out of the box due to the nutty instructions that are never quite right.
Nobody is going to mention tactical 4x4 for this? really? Best looking bumper option IMO.
Sits tight with the tailgate.. none of this hanging off the back stuff.
