I have 265/65R18 Spare, deflated, but not enough to set off the tpms. Heat shield in place, not modified. Hitch works just fine. Not in the way at all.
None that I have read. (my only credentials are that of a forum addicted enthusiast who reads about 6 different Land Rover forums for the last 6 years and also follows some of the Infosec community)
The silent armors do just ok in snow and not great on ice FYI. They are winter snowflake rated, but they are not anything close to as good as the Blizzak DM-V2 that I put on my 19" wheels.
I thought they stopped making the silent armors. The wrangler all terrain adventure tires are the next...
All I saw was someone getting into an LR4 and driving off. They probably had the key.
With no other info to back this up, im calling BS.
Edit: also video has no detail in description and is titled as an lr3, when it's a lr4... actually discovery 4 since its right hand drive. Seems kinda...
a land rover can speak ODBII in the same way that others can, so a generic code reader should work for its basic functions. An IID tool is a better and more specialized tool which understands land rover modules and systems.
Unless you want to run your engine to keep the power flowing... why would you want high wattage lights, especially in the back.
I prefer my 18w lights in the rear because I can run them on the aux battery for a long time without draining things too much. Its plenty bright to work or setup...
I love the way the oem wheels look painted like that. Remind me what you did to them? I have those same wheels for my winters and now I want them to look like that!
If you take off the lower trim parts (like I did) to put on sliders, it just looks like my last picture. You can see the white...
I really couldn't tell how far the pin goes in when I insert the receiver. But when I put it in, the green nob pops back clockwise pretty far and then the orange key easily turns counter clockwise and comes out.
this is the final position for the green knob. (i assume you are talking about the...
So naked!
I just took the sliders to UPS for shipping, when I went to get out of the rig I stepped on the non-existant slider and just about fell over. Gah!
I didn't notice the weight this time. Last time I had them off and drove, i felt like it make some difference. But this time I...
If you are really careful you don't have to mess with the parking brake at all. When I did my rears I just was careful and didn't move things around much. Didn't have to do anything for the ebrake.
I just spoke to Eric at tactical again. He said that the zinc aluminizing processs is better than galvanized dip because it is not just a coating but changes the composition of the metal and will be better long term.
He also explained a bit about the de-gassing that needs to be done to prep...
@Waterndirt Thanks for that advice. So Eric must just have them do the version for paint rather than powder coat. That will be fine. I have a neighbor who works with automotive paints, he might know something about this.
@anglotron those sliders look nice once they are on, but ya.. sucks...
From Eric . (i hope he doesn't mind me posting his words...)
To powdercoat them they need to be "de-gassed",(powdercoat term), then coated. No sandblasting. But then touch up doesn't look as good.
The most popular process is to have the metalized part LineXed, or Rhino lined.
The prep is to...
