Voyager is kicking ass. Good to see. That looks like a clean setup. I feel like i need protection as much or more than a winch, so I went with an ARB, but I think this is a solid option.
i should have a lot more info and photos of the arb summit bar soon. in theory it arrives mid-october. im putting a zeon platinum 10s and the 9.5"arb intensity lights on it.
i agree on the t44 front bumper. i have the t44 rear and skids and sliders, but the arb is much more polished as an...
I don't know anyone with it, but search around, a few other cheaper options out there. Probably are not anywhere near as strong, but if its just for looks...

VPLAP0022 is plastic junk. Doesn't help with anything.
What are your goals for it? Protection? Light mounts? Winch?
Most "Brush Guards" are exactly that, will keep a branch off your headlights but that is it. If you hit anything, including animals, they just damage more. They will take...
How much power does that CB draw. That's the first thing you need to establish. You don't want to put too much load on a tiny little feed wire. I see in your sig you have a amp/sub wired up, Did you run a thick wire to the rear for that? Could you have a distribution block for accessories...
That is strange. What hole did you have to widen? the very front bolt on the underside of the sill perhaps? (I never installed the bolt there because you had to drill into the plastic to make room for it. However with the T44 sliders, you have to cut the whole bottom off that plastic trim...
I am curious about what you find out with this. I have explored these menus but haven't had the balls to try upgrading anything. I didn't want to poke the bear.
Please let us know what you learn.
I am still not sure I understand peoples reasoning for some of these warranties. You are placing a bet, you wager that you will need repairs greater than the cost of the warranty. The warranty company is creating a contract (covering certain things) and pricing it in such a way... they are...
I heard about the coating preference from someone at zincnation. I called them. I may be missing some aspects, sure, but that is what I was told.
The powder coating was done by a local shop (Premier Powder coating in Dubuque, IA) that seems to mostly handle industrial jobs. They can coat...
All of my neighbors and people around town know me, because you wont find a rig like mine anywhere else in the area (like... Iowa)... But I feel bad because they drive around in soul suckingly common and boring vehicles that you literally see every 30 seconds on the road. It is always too...
I had Eric send me the sliders metalized and then powder coated them at a local place, it was $60 for me to have the both coated locally... you also don't have to worry about freight messing up the finish.
BTW... Zincnation can coat them with either zinc OR aluminum... You want zinc for...
I am interested in what they did on the long travel shocks and control arms.... we need that for LR4!!
I just drool at the long travel 5th gen 4runners I have seen.
says 770 on my hitch. 10% of 7700.
i know people gripe about the towing, but I have never had an issue with the stock setup and a very heavy 26' boat. I would consider a Rhino hitch if this one starts giving me trouble.
Seems like pretty much no info about them. Who actually makes them? how much do they weigh?
Let us know if you go that route, but i'd be careful about it.
I have this same glitch. I have the HSE Lux with the upgrade stereo. Sometimes it will do this and I have to 'touch' the sub volume in settings to make it turn on.
I just did another trip for the eclipse. 7+ hours each way, and the trip back was mostly traffic... 5.0L V8, 55k miles on her, all loaded up again, did 17 to 19 mpg the whole time. I'm still not sure why im getting good mpg lately, but its been great.
Would be good to figure out what the source of this is. I doubt its just tires. I run 265/65R18 worn ATs and this last weekend I drove 14 hours (7 each way) with roof cases and full rig, with full skids, full bumper with full jerry cans.. and very little wind. Ended up getting around 18-19...
I just noticed this same issue on mine today. Radio was off, a/c wasn't working hard.
I'll probably try and do the flush sometime soon. Is the power steering fluid all that specific? most of them are compatible with all makes and have additives. I topped up my fluid recently (was down a...
