Have you owned any Land Rovers before? Done any mechanical work on vehicles? Just trying to get a handle on your capabilities.
A Land Rover specific ODB tool will be a lot more useful.. like the GAP diagnostics IID tool.
Reading the codes is probably first, but you will need to check fuel...
I am going to get my 265/65R18 KO2 (E Load) put on tomorrow. Bought 5 to replace my current (old) goodyear silent armour A/T's. My rig is heavy, so i wanted the tougher tire... and its just time.
The goodyears are not worn all the way down by any means, they probably have 50k miles on them...
I bought white for a few reasons (I love black though, the detailer in me does).
1. with dark colors I felt the rear windows blended in too much and made it look more van like.
2. white is the only non metalic/pearl paint that is just base/clear. which makes white way easier to paint match and...
The tool doesn't need to connect to the site does it? I've used it pretty off grid before and never noticed it have issues.
I need to upgrade mine and figure out if I can disable the BMS.
It is true that it uses a clutch pack, but it IS a transfer case... just not a old school gear-to-gear style one. It functions as a transfer case, in many ways better than an older style one. Give you shift on the move capability and such. It still locks up and provides the same 50:50 split...
I really want to see how high off the ground you have to raise the LR4 to clear the trans. I figure the bell housing is quite tall. I have seen others do this body off, which from what I gather with a lift isn't a big deal to do.
Scott, if you need to bounce anything off someone feel free to...
Awesome. Good luck with the job and thanks for the advise on the pan swap. I'm going to do that Saturday along with a coolant drain/vacuum fill and replacing my batteries. Just got done with both diffs, transfer case, air filters also. I have almost 70k on my transmission so that service is...
I'm about ready to do my transmission pan swap, like this saturday. Just did my diffs, xfer case, etc.. all simple. Dealer did my diffs last time and overfilled them.. assholes.
Any notes on the trans? Why use mittyvac vs just let it drain and then normal pump fill? Spare no details if you...
Does anyone have a list of part numbers for everything you would need for the front and rear pipes?
I haven't done it yet myself, but from my notes I have.
1. LR018275 TUBE WATER OUTLET TO CYLINDER BLOCK (includes oring) aka ENGINE COOLANT CROSSOVER PIPE. ENGINE COOLANT OUTLET FLANGE. WATER...
How does that compare to the other poly bushings on the market? How does that compare to the OEM bushings? I'd probably want something roughly the same as the OE.
I've also gone around and around on tire and wheel setups for years, since before I even bought my 2013 new.
Half the time I even use a rear tire carrier on my bumper.. but...
265/65R18 - that's my size. I've been tempted so many times to do other sizes, but in the end, that size fits in the...
I don't think any all terrains really do that well in the snow with the heavy LR4. I didn't have any other use for my stock wheels so they get the blizzaks.
I agree though about G35x on blizzaks, which is why I still daily drive my 2006. :D This photo is actually my summer setup with ultra...
I run stock sized tires on my OE 19" wheels in winter. Blizzaks. Pretty unstoppable, but if conditions warrant, or im playing in the snow off road.. SCC Z-Chains have been working. Here are some clearance photos on the front. Rears don't seem to be close to anything.
Just as some info for those with the non-arb bumpers, the ARB (summit bar in my case) have some hefty mounts, but they have crush zones built in so that if you hit something the crush zone can compress and reduce the impulse rate to the rest of the vehicle... thus reducing the chance that you...
I really wish my T44 sliders step stuck out more. Its too narrow. I kinda miss my voyager steps, they had two surfaces your foot would use. I have thought about adding something on top as a step surface, but im not sure I can make it look good.
Just so we are clear, this grease is non-conductive. It may keep moisture out of a connection/connector, but its maybe not the first thing I would put on my main ground. I could be wrong though.
and also, the washer fluid tank mounts on a bracket that comes with the bumper. Nothing about the washer system is an issue. im not sure what was being said before about that.
