I would first try to jack up the front with a floor jack to "normal" looking height, roughly 2". You can jack it up from the front crossmember for both tires to go up at the same time. Then start the truck. If you're lucky, it'll automatically raise. This just means that the height sensors were...
If you want a set like the one you first posted brand new in box, I have a set made for the LR3 and it'll fit the LR4. I don't quite remember what material it's made out of, but I can take some pics of it.
Darn, I would have picked one up too. I haven't towed in a while either. That was my alternative to adding an ohm resistor between the 2 leads. Here's the post on it, https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/trailer-light-question.28411/post-204232.
Technically, you don't need any of it for it to work. The trailer assist was a fancy option that helps stabilize the trailer without weight distribution bars and with the help of trailer stickers the camera system helps guide backing up. I enabled everything as well and it does trigger a trailer...
I would look at the 4x4 info screen to see if any of the height sensors are blinking red, that's an early indicator to view a bad or out-of-range height sensor. Do you have a Gap IID Tool or Autel AP200? If you do, try to recalibrate your suspension on flat ground, as leveled as possible. This...
I've been to both of these shops... but didn't quite do any work with either of them. I do most of my own work.
Super knowledgeable guys and honest. I came here to have them take a look at my charging issues and instead I had an hour long chat with the master mechanic telling me that I was on...
I should have bought them back in the days when Prospeed was making cool stuff. They were a tad pricey, but they were the only ones who made them. No longer available... Maybe someone can make something similar.
What I've done in several instances was to remove the 3 bolts on the small pulley, wrap the new belt around both pulley, and angle the smaller pulley back into place. It's a bit tricky with the new belt, but doable without any special tool.
I'll attest to the TSB helping with my charging system. Just move the brown/blue wire from the (+) battery post over to the (+) main fuse block. It's been about a week and I've driven it maybe 3 days, and it's 1000x better than before.
I'm still not convinced that this will fix the long crank...
I just saw a video on youtube today... .
Apparently there was a TSB that mentions moving the brown/blue bms cable from the positive terminal on the battery over to the positive cable of the main fuse block. I didn't check ohm resistance, I figured if it didn't work I'd check that later. I...
Looks like the coolant line, mine had a nylon sleeve over it to protect it from the metal bracket, more like an abrasion overlay. Something like this would add the extra protection, https://a.co/d/3mFzH7l.
Do you have a gopro or some camera that you can stick down there? Point it towards the front of the rear driveshaft at the CV joint and then at the U joint in the rear, and do the same with the front driveshaft.
For me, I just happen to have my oem rear driveshaft with a torn boot at the CV...
I know what you're talking about. I followed his build for a bit. He started off with 35s and then 37s. This is what he did... https://jaustonfab.com/range-rover-lift-kits/
I have these that are pretty cool, but sucks while driving. https://www.seriesdefender.com/rear-window-vents-discovery.html.
I also have something like these mesh window socks, that's easier to put on/off.
They're pretty robust. The o-ring tends to get hard and brittle over time and oil leaks happen. Hopefully, yours will last a while. I replaced mine last year while doing an oil change. It's one of the easier things to do if you have to do replace it again.
Nice! I lucked out with changing over my comprehensive deductible about 2 months prior to replacing my panoramic roof. $500 for a new roof is pretty steep, let alone $1000. My $100 deductible covered a new oem panoramic roof, can't complain. $0 deductible is definitely better.
I would recommend changing the Comprehensive to a $100 deductible, not much of a difference in price. Mine came out to be a $40 difference for the whole 6 months going from a $500 to $100 deductible. When your glass breaks, its only $100 vs your current $1000 deductible. Doesn't hurt to ask to...
