    Aftermarket Valve Covers

There is absolutely nothing wrong with OEM. I had leaky valve cover corners due to hard old valve gaskets, and replaced them with aftermarket Elwis valve cover gaskets. The PCV valves on the cover of bank 1 is super easy to replace and are under $30 diy aftermarket parts. Have you done your...

    Wire Loom Cover

I think they're all pre-wired, regardless if fitted or not, just plug and play. You'll also need the heated seat buttons on the console, also pre-wired.

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

From my understanding, you don't have a Gap IID Tool. So, you'll probably have to ask someone that has the proper tool to do this for you. IF this costs money to clear the adaptation values, then I would suggest putting that $$ towards the Gap IID Tool. It seriously pays for itself and you'll...

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

Here's my 2 cents and take it with a grain of salt. With all those new parts, have you tried clearing all the adaptation values? This will force the ecu to relearn new values, which means that it will reset to factory fuel trims. It will relearn all the fuel curves over a few days of driving...

    Starting issue

My issue was that I was 1/2 quart low on transmission fluid. I added the missing transmission fluid and had to recalibrate the transfer case with the IIDTool. In the middle of the recalibration, it requires you to start the truck. If it doesn't start the truck on the first try, you need to...

    Starting issue

I had to deal with an issue where there was a single click and nothing else when pressing the Start/Stop button every once in a while. Does your brakes go stiff?

    Fuel Tank Shield/Skid Plate

I have a slightly banged up gas skid for free, but it's in San Diego, CA if ypu want to pick it up. I went with a Dark Crow Designs galvanized skid plate. It's pretty robust and haven't dinged it yet. https://www.instagram.com/p/CeyaJcALCR2/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

LR4 V8 smog help - catalytic monitor won't get to ready state

One of the very few things that the iid tool doesn't have. You'll need a "regular" Land Rover compatible odb2 scanner to view it. I have an iCarsoft i930 (backup) that reads it.

    2010 LR4 Off-road wheel and tire options

I'm pretty much on the same page with you here. Re-gearing would be amazing for anything bigger than 32"! I'm on 33s too and I found that you can manipulate the gearing software to make it run "better". I used my Gap IID Tool to change the "Tyre Size MSB - IPC" to 30 and my speedometer was...

LR4 V8 smog help - catalytic monitor won't get to ready state

For those that come across this issue where you've driven over 100 miles after clearing codes, the Catalytic Monitor and O2 Monitor reads "INC" (incomplete) instead of "RDY" or Ready, there's a solution. My trusted smog guy for over 20 years told me the easiest way to get it ready is to drive...

5.0 LR4 oil catch can non turbo

You'll need to pop off the PCV tube between the PCV valve cover and throttle body and remove the plastic end connectors with a heat gun. The ONLY non-collapsing vacuum tube I found useful was either 5/8" stainless steel braided hose or nylon braided hose and using AN10 fittings. I couldn't find...

    Failing alternator?

Don't feel bad, I'm on the same boat dealing with power issues for YEARS. I'm on my 3rd alternator and 4th battery. I haven't had time to check it out, but a few members on here pointed something out to me and will soon dig into that rabbit hole a bit deeper. Long story short, there are 3 PWM...

5.0 LR4 oil catch can non turbo

Check out this thread... https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/djkaosone-to-the-courtesy-phone-oil-catch-cans.41865/#post-216812 You'll need a single oil catch can on bank 1 (RH looking from inside the cabin). You'll catch a lot of oil coming off the PCV valves on the valve cover.

    Diagnosing AC Trouble

Mine did this a while back with similar symptoms. I recharged the r134 freon and it was on point with no leaks, but the warm air symptoms were still there. Turns out that my AC compressor was the issue even though you can see/hear the clutch engaging. I ended up replacing it with a reman AC...

Relocating the two hoses in the right rear wheel well

I followed the same post, BUT I decided to run it around the behind the rear right strut. You'll want 12 ft of 5/8" heater hose, 6ft for each pipe. I simply removed the hose clip, put in the new hose and new hose clamped it. It's not that bad of a job. The hardest part of it was really following...

RESOLVED - Audible knocking noise from air suspension compressor - replace or rebuild?

I've used this one with good success. Hitachi Piston rebuild or just search on Amazon for "X8R Hitachi", they have a lot for it. As far as the drier goes, get oem. I had a few rebuild kits or new aftermarket that either leaked or cap totally blew up.

    Charging System Fault

I noticed that, does that mean it's only on the new models with the start/stop "feature"? So, what connectors should I start tracing? Should I focus on connector C2242L first? I have the wiring diagram, I guess, I'll just ohm test a bunch of connectors around the charging system.

    Charging System Fault

Ok, I've been meaning to ask. Where are these 2 connectors located? I need to check mine as well. According to the Connector Quick Reference Guide, C2242L (highlighted in blue) is on the RH kick panel, but I can't find C2531L.

    Safari Gard Hippo Hitch

If anyone is interested in getting this, Scott just posted that a new batch is done and ready to ship. It's $475 shipped to the lower 48 or $450 to anywhere else. BTW, I have zero affiliations with the guy.

RESOLVED - Audible knocking noise from air suspension compressor - replace or rebuild?

If you have a Hitachi, there are kits to rebuild your piston to increase compression. AMK is not rebuildable at this point in time. You should probably take the compressor out whether it's the Hitachi or AMK and bench test it for the knocking sound. Just add 12v power to hear it run and then...

    Air compressor hose disconnection????

For future notes, it's a push-to-connect fitting. Push the plastic ring inwards, push the hose in and then pull out. Glad you figured it out.
