    New (to me) 2012 LR4 5.0

Can you please specify the fluid pump? When I did the transmission pan on the 2016 I used a big syringe from Mighty Vac and a length of Tygon tubing. It worked but was less than ideal. I need something better before I start on the 2013. Thanks!

    New (to me) 2012 LR4 5.0

I am in SE Houston, near NASA and Ellington Field. On my 2013 I am considering just changing the transmission fluid rather than the pan/filter (yes, yes, I know...), but it was not fun on the 2016 and will be worse on the 2013... Either way, it's scheduled for this "winter". If it helps, here...

RESOLVED - Seeking License Plate Holder/Frame

Seeking Rover Front License Plate Holder/Frame. This one does not screw into the bumper, it has a hook that hooks into a detent on the back side of the bumper. I have one on the 2013, seeking one for the newly acquired 2015. Part number from the part itself: AH2217B389BB Rover and Rover...

Meet the New Addition to the Family !

The 2016 is loud when outside the truck, inside it sounds fine. There is no particular sound, timing chain or injector noise - just a general "roar". I know it's a virtually impossible question to answer.....

    Control Arms

Unless you really want to mess around with new bushings to change how it rides, it's just not practical to press the bushings in and out. You would need to remove the arm and replace both both bushings and the ball joint. In my world it's just easier to replace the assembly. I have now done...

    Considering a Used LR4 Purchase - Engine/PowerTrain Reflashed 4 times ?

Considering a 2015 LR4 located in Denver, vehicle now at 99K miles. CarFax shows engine/powertrain computer/module reprogrammed at 15K, 36K, 48K and 64K miles. Always done at a dealership and appears to be associated with routine maintenance - but ??? Is this a warning sign or is this a...

UPDATE - Gasoline Odor - Is This Dealership BS??

Well, dealership cannot locate any issues, and after it sits for a bit, I agree there is no gasoline odor, but one hint.... Gasoline smell is only immediately after filling it up.... After filling it up and poking around a bit I have determined it is the fuel tank. There is a drain hole in...

UPDATE - Gasoline Odor - Is This Dealership BS??

PLEASE SKIP TO MY COMMENT (UPDATE) BELOW (8/19/22) Not much to go on so far and no time to work the issue. Leaving in 4 days to return truck and daughter to University. Good chance I will not see the vehicle again for 10+ months, and possibly significantly longer. But will have 2,000 miles to...

    sagging confirmed, now what?

I don't think it's critical that it's dead flat/level, but I defer to those with more experience. There shouldn't be any change in height at all, I suggest that perhaps the valve blocks need to be rebuilt - new o-rings. There are 3 valve blocks, main/center, front and rear, rebuild kits are...

Would like to confirm a few details on 2015 SCV6 maintenance

Not sure if this is still needed, but here is my video from the 2016 V6 SC. I strongly suggest you complete the supercharger maintenance. The video is stupid long, but it has all the plumbing info you need.

    AC Not Blowing Cold...Sometimes

Mine is fine, and not sure this applies.... On the 2002 Nissan Maxima there is a thermostat in air plenum in the dash that gets corroded. After I replaced that thermostat the A/C improved markedly. Same somewhere in the Rover?? Are your cabin air filters in good condition?

Can you identify this electrical part?

Agreed, that looks like the connector from the windshield, there are 2 of these, one on each side. You can tell if the windshield is working by using your thermometer "gun" and by just touching the windshield - although you may need to wait until fall or winter depending on your location so...
