Hi.
I'm new to this forum and would greatly appreciate some help and advice if possible. I have a 2016 LR4. It is simply wonderful, but unfortunately, I have an issue with 2 of my electric windows. The switch operates each window perfectly well, but when the window reaches its top limit, it does not stay there, but just lowers again. Whilst this can be overcome by continuously switching and releasing each switch, it is very frustrating and inconvenient. I'm loathed to take it to an LR main dealer if it's not required. Can anybody assist please.
Kind regards.

Have you tried resetting the windows? Search on this forum for a how-to.

I just ran in to this issue on my drivers door, I suspect it's sensing too much load when fully closed and then winds the window down again (like you have something stuck in the window!). My question; how do you reset the window as mentioned above? Thanks.

With the engine running.
Windows closed.
Lift up on the window switch, hold for 5 seconds and release. Repeat once.

On a semi-related note.

I purchased this vehicle used a couple years ago and just noticed this.

On the drivers window.

When the window is down and you pull up on the switch there is a detent/click that is supposed to completely close the window.
It clicks but when the switch is released the window stops, it does not close.
No other issues.

A dead switch?
Anything to reset?

Thanks

It might just need to be trained to recognize when the window is fully closed. Hold the button to close the window fully and once closed release. Then hold the button to close again for a few seconds. I think that'll do it. Roll down to test.
