Hi.
LR4 2012 V8
Had a rattling inner CV (?) on left side, a metallic clacking under power and braking but ok coasting.

Changed it to a used part from a doner car and had to do a big avoid in the motorway yesterday - idiot mustang wanted through the front of the car at120kmh. Now the clunk/clang is back.

As a note the front discs feel warped, was going to change them but if I need to do shaft and/or bearing I’ll combine.

Is it CV?
Could it be front driveshaft - if so how to test?
Could the bearing be causing it- no play in the wheel when lifted?

Help please!

Thanks

Could be the front prop shaft.
Try grabbing the shaft and move it up and down at the joints. Should be no movement.

I think it might be the main prop shaft. The middle bearing looks a bit …transparent from the side and the noise sounds like something hitting the heat shield. Having a look tomorrow

It could be that you bought a used part that broke. Did you get a warranty with it?
