Never lift a seat again !
Well , after emptying out the LR3 to lift the seats for spare tire winch access
last week , I've finally had enough of that hassle . Maybe several of you 7 seat
guys have already done this modification ; Remove the plastic anchor covers
( serve NO purpose ) and then you can place a 3/8" square drive wobble-bar
( 6" is just right ) in the gap . Wobble bars have a thinner shaft than standard
drives. The 22mm socket stays over the nut . Now I realise that for those of
you who must make submarines out of your LR3's , there will possibly
be water ingress ( hence the rubber stopper ! ) . This is addressed by painting
a little bitumen paint around the nut , but this floor-hole is high up really .
