You might want to have a few more trails under your belt and some good armor before you attempt this one!
I was fortunate to have Nathan Woods as a spotter the whole way. It was a difficult one indeed!

Nice trail pics! I commend you for taking your rig to that extreme! Mine won't ever see that kind of terrain, since I have a dedicated off-road rig already, but it's amazing to see nonetheless!

That was a fun day! I've run the trail a few times since then. It just keeps getting harder. That waterfall is now even steeper.

Just before the waterfall:

so . . . question . . . how does the independent suspension of the LR3 compare to the solid axel of the jeep when doing this? Seems like there would be advantages, but also some potentially serious disadvantages . . .

Your Jeep is looking solid Nathan. Thanks again for the tow that day.

IFS is a disadvantage when off roading because it limits articulation, but the traction control on the LR3 adequately makes up for it, and in some cases, even surpasses a flexy solid axel'd rig. The only thing stopping LR3's from conquering more brute trails is limited ground clearance, and really expensive sheet metal :)
