So I'm trying to hook up four Hella 4000 Rallye compacts to my roof rack and it seems that there is too much stuff, airbag electronics I'm guessing, to easily run the wire down the A-Pillar like you can on a D2. I have the two (short) Hella wiring harnesses that came with the lights which probably won't extend to the rear of the car, but if that's where it needs to go then I'll get some more wire

So the question is, "What is the best route to run the harness from the LR3's roof to the battery?"

Thanks in advance

People have used the A pillar and D pillar. Land Crzy may have some input for you. He recently posted this:

Hello,
yes the Gray truck is mine. The Hella lights are all independently wired from a marine grade terminal bock and fuse with switch. They are not wired through the headlamps or park lights.

Land Crzy, did you run the wire harness from the rack down through the A pillar or go a different route?

there is space in the b-pillar. I easily ran my thick av cables and power for the drop down dvd player down that path. There maybe room under the door sill to get towards the battery.

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer"

Ummm he missed a few spots. The rest of Europe, Russia, the Americas, the whole eastern part of Asia, Southern part of Africa, etc...
Guess thats off topic but If he only knew then what we knew now he would have wept at the impossibility of conquering it all.

Anyways I would like to wire mine on the front intependantly of the headlights so I can turn them on and off at will.
