LR4 oil cooler level of effort involved estimate? For 2013 V8

I have had a minor engine oil leak. Eventually narrowed down (wiping all the engine oil stains with dye) is narrowed down to the engine valley in the oil cooler.

A question: because of the location of oil cooler, what should I estimate in terms of labor of effort to access it and get to it. At expert level and also average level if anybody has had to do this so I can budget time appropriately.

what year/engine do you have. the NA v8 requires removal of the intake manifold and associated bits to access the oil cooler. The SC v6 requires removal of the supercharger [a more time consuming affair].

To get to it probably a few hours which includes getting out all the tools and getting setup. I had my intake off a few times now, but never got into the oil cooler.

Having done the project and with the experience, I agree, on the V8 one can get to it pretty quickly.
Of course, it does take longer if one has never done it before...

Thanks for posting those videos and sharing your expertise with the community. They are very thorough. Unfortunately I don't have the tooling.

The mechanic (non dealer) who I have taken to and has fixed my prior issues in the past estimated 8 hours plus of labor to get to the oil cooler and change the seals (source of coolant and oil leak). Is that about right?

Thank you for sharing. Clearly the mechanic is overcharging . I have going to them for years and now I know where there honesty factor is. Irony is the other non-dealer expert repair estimated 30% more than this. Now I know how they mark up and overjustify their work
