Here's what I'm expecting them to look like. I should get them back next week sometime. I heading to the shop this evening to see one.

That will look really good with the Black Land Rover center caps. When I bought the Redbourne Wheels I was hoping the "hyper black" would have been more black. They should have called it hyper silver.:stupid:

Post Powder Coat

Picked up the wheels today and promptly bolted them on. Here's the final product. I also ordered black & silver caps and I'll probably stick with the stock silver lug nuts.

Those look great Kevin!

I see you have seen the light on the coopers. Do they rub at all? Wish those would fit without the ride height rods.

Yep, they rub like hell. I'm trying to find a shop that can cut the bump stops off.

The black/silver center caps are going to look great. I love mine. I ordered my 19" Coopers today - going to get them installed in a couple weeks. I already have a buyer for my stock tires - they will have less than 300 miles on them! :)

I ordered mine off of Ebay last week and I just got them in my hand. They are landrover originals part number LR040890. They're awesome looking. Funny how even the little stuff gets me amped up. I also just realized that I only ordered 4. Now I need one more.

They are really nice! I had ordered those as well (from a source in the UK on eBay) as I wanted OEM caps on my previous wheels that I powder coated myself. They did over some stick on versions, but noting like the real thing. Those are what they use on the black pack wheels as well.

They are going to look awesome with your wheels!

Not much to say here but to acknowledge the Good and Bad of trying to paint my wheels. I cleaned the wheels and wiped them with alcohol and then with a dry towel. I masked off the parts I wanted clean, and proceeded to put down three coats of black plasti-dip paint. I started with one wheel as an experiment and after a few hours of drying, I removed the tape. The good news is that the product is easily removable. The bad news is that the product is easily removable. Large sections of the rubber paint came off cleanly with the masking tape. Crap. Off to the powder coat shop I went, almost instantaneously. I guess I just don't have the finness or patience required.

Out of curiosity, how many coats did you put on? I am very interested to accomplish this project this weekend. From what I read, you need to put in at least 5 coats.
