Yeah and there is a ton of good info in the Owner's Manual...and I want to say the Quick Reference guide, as to how each setting works and the components too. It's been a while but I know that I read every last page of the manual.

Agree that the entire drivetrain in the LR3 is amazing. I just don't observe TC kicking in a lot, presumably because the LR3 is using the locker instead but it could be the way I drive, too. I really do adhere to the "as slow as possible; as fast as necessary" philosophy.

I find the exact same.

It's super fun to see the different schools of thought behind the vehicles.

The rear locker has a clutch pack. To that end it is able to do variable locking from 0 to full lock depending on, and controlled by the ECU's. This is accomplished with the e-diff locking motor. You can find some pictures of the clutch pack and other bits in my gallery.
