On a 95 D1 I took a 15 mile trip out of town, this vehicle stays on the island 1x4 miles in size. Got yelled at a few times as the brake lights didn't work.
A few days ago they worked in the driveway.
Well all fuses are good, brake switch works (tested) but have no power to
any of the two wires to the switch.
Any Ideas? Blinkers work as well rear parking lights but the front parking lights haven't worked for months but then again this a daytime only vehicle.

As Paul Sr on American Chopper says, "any I deers?"
Thanks....

If the brake switch is not getting power, then the issue is either a fuse, relay or bad ground...

I would start with a bad ground (common issue). Or worse, corrosion on a connector, very hard to track down.

Joey, all fuses good, only fault code was 2-6 (brake light switch).
With a meter it wasn't repeating when it should of been closed without resistance. Took apart and cleaned, now switch is working like new but still have no power to those 22 gauge switch leads (purple/yellow trace and purple/green trace. Anyone have a wiring diagram?
I was thinking of adding 12 volt power to both of those brake leads, one must be the power and the other a signal to control a relay, if on the right one I should have brake lights on.
Question is which one is the feed and switched power by color and will any damage be caused jumping 12 volts to them? I see no reason why.
Does the feed go thru the turn indicator and I might have a broken wire?
Grabbing for any ideas.

Joey where is this relay located your talking about?

This on a 95 D1. Thanks.

Thanks Joey, this is good information as before
I had nothing. I jumpered 12V to both wires of the
switch leads with still no brake lights last night.
Will have to print your diagrams and play hunt and
seek some more.
Question; I see on the prints showing cruise control and clutch
switch, they all tie in and can cause brake lights to not go on?
This is wild.
Thanks again.
