Our first ever Land Rover is in the garage. I traded in a bimmer for a 2011 LR4 Lux. It's green with the Heavy Duty package and 42,000 miles. It's got 20" wheels, a great stereo and lots of other things. Can you tell, I'm new to LR? Besides the Germans, I've had two 4Runners and three Toyota pickups. Also three Wranglers.

The LR4 seems to have the best of all worlds. It drives great on road, is more fun than a tank ought be, has more luxury than I've ever experienced and is 'supposedly' very good off road. Suffice to say, I am stoked. I look forward to learning a lot from this community!

Welcome to the forum. Supposedly very good off road is an understatement. I have seen stock rovers go where modified other vehicles could not. Don't get me wrong when you spend more money on mods then the vehicle cost then others may very well go farther, but they will not be as comfortable getting there and back.
