2010 Range Rover Rotor Tolerance

I have a 2010 Range Rover Supercharged. I am wanting to turn the rotors on the rover and wanting to know what the min tolerance is for this ride?

I would not advise turning the rotors, but the thickness is:

Front Service limit is 27mm
Rear Service limit is 17mm

Just curious. Why is it not advised to turn the rotors on this ride?

Rover uses like a lot of new vehicles rotors that are softer and thinner to allow for lighter weight (ounces = money savings) by turning them, then will warp easy.
