Hi all,

Did a quick search. Only saw 1-2 old threads on this. My buddies 2006 RRS is getting a low coolant message. Is the sensor easily replaced and if so, is it best to get a sensor from the dealership or is there a better place online to get it.

Thanks.

The sensor itself isn't the usual failure, but the float that the sensor reads that is immersed in the coolant. The best repair, if the coolant level is ok and the message is still coming up, is to replace the entire expansion reservoir with the updated designed part.

Thanks!

Do you have the part number by chance? Anything else need to be changed out at the same time (hoses, etc)? His RRS has just over 27k miles.
