My Disco II just starting doing this. The engine coolant temp no longer gets up to normal operating temperature. For mine that't when when the needle is horizontal, exactly mid-way between H and C. Now it basically hovers a bit above C. It gets a bit warmer when I am climbing hills. I checked radiator fluid and burped the air at the screw in the hose atop the radiator. All appears normal.
I think maybe the thermostat is stuck completely open? Any other ideas.
