    When looking at OBD II codes that are manufacturer specific I'm having trouble figuring out system or function the last two numbers pertain to. The two codes I'm getting are P1672 and P1667. Can anyone tell me what the digits 67 and 72 refer to. Thank you.

    Sorry it took so long to reply. I got put on a special night project at work from 7pm to 7am. I found that the starter is fed by a direct feed. The wire goes directly from the ignition switch straight to the starter. Maybe your ignition switch has a fault of something.

    Not a rebuilt starter I always buy electronic parts new. I was wondering if there is a relay problem or maybe the alternator is pumping out too much juice or something. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

    Replaced battery...... and still got nothing. Pulled the starter and had it tested. It was shot. This is the second starter in a couple months. Could there be something pushing too much voltage to the starter causing it to burn out over a period of time? A relay?

    Starter is shot My starter is shot! This is the second one in two months. Something seems to be killing the starter by allowing too much juice to flow to it and it burns it out. I'm gonna check in my shop manual for you to see where the wires form the starter/solenoid go.

    Same thing Got the same problem with my 4.0. I just put in a new battery and it wasn't that. I have to test the starter like you did tomorrow. Did you find out where the wire was going?
