I am selling my brand new G4 rear access ladder for Land Rover LR3. Never been used and hardware still in packaging. I also have the full length Voyager expedition roof rack that I used once and have no need for it anymore. Contact me if you are interested.
Well it is appearing there is a bigger problem other than the thermostat. I noticed water and coolant pouring from behind the motor. I pulled the skid plate and had a look, well it appears to be coming from the bell housing. So I pulled the torque and flywheel inspection plug and the housing was...
This is exactly whats happening to my 05. I have 101K and change on it and I cannot see any leakage from the water pump. it will run for about 15 min on normal temp then it will start smoking from the return hose on the coolant tanks burp valve. It spiked it temp yesterday and coolant came...
I was needing someone else to confirm my this. I believe my heater core has failed or does anyone else have an idea what might cause this? I notice the other day it said "Low Coolant" I checked it and it was find and thought it was just the resovior, well today I am driving and kicked on the...
How the hell did he get those tires on there? Spacers and rod mod I presume. He could have gone with a better tire though. I had those on a truck once, and yes they looked cool, they didn't perform for how much they cost and they wore out really quick.
I bought this rack about 2 months ago because I actually used it for work. Now I am not doing field work anymore and it is a bit much for my needs. Its the Rover Rack Off Road challenge Roof Rack with upgraded basket size. It has the light protection bar and will fit 4 hella compacts. With...
I just rolled over 100K and I couldn't be more pleased. Its about time for a bushings change and I also spoke with an engineer over at ZF that specifically deals with this gearbox. He informed me that they informed LRNA that they gearbox fluid should be changed at 75K. The previous notion of a...
A good friend owns a high end used dealership in the Hights off of TC jester off I-10. His website should be linked to my name. He only deals in high end vehicles and most of them are Rovers. His service guy is excellent and they have all the equipment and IDS computer, so it's by no means a...
So after my 5th LR dealer telling me that they do not and Land Rover does not recommend changing the gear box fluid, he said they would do it for $2600 bucks, I proceded to laugh and give him some of my thoughts about Land Rovers service departments knowledge of these machines. So after I calmed...
You wouldn't happen to know what kind of after market oil they are using? I have 94k on mine and have serviced everything but the tranny. I drive a lot and play every chance I get. I am completely swamped with work and time is not on my side. I called another dealership in Houston today and they...
Ha, Yes the first time can be a little surprising. You might want to put your catch pan about a foot infront of the drain plug and I would advise you not pull that bolt out while laying on your back from the front.
Well I am at 93k now on my LR3 and I just talked with the dealership here in Houston, Tx and they said they wouldn't change the transmission fluid unless something was wrong with it. Now what do you guys think about that?
Has changed the compressor air dryer themselves? My problems is those damn brass fittings that lock in the air lines. Is there a special tool that I am not aware of?
I thought about it, but seeing as it is steel and not alum I am keeping my weight down. I put some plywood and jumped around a bit ( I am 200 pounds) and it held fine. I am not done yet so things could change, just wanna keep it under 100 pds.
